60,000 is not achievable. Is this an AFL strategy? Etihad could only deliver 48,000 members for Carlton. The capacity of Etihad is 55,000. The 7,000 difference is for AFL and Etihad Members. Carlton would need to get 12,000 non Melbourne based Members to reach the 60,000.

Lets build a 60,000 Princes Park Stadium and also have the MCG.......

YES! That's what I thought.

So a high-speed rail link from my house to our new 60,000 seat stadium at Princes Park is a goer then? I'd better get a good quality cap with that though.

You can get of at the new Arden Underground Railway Station that will be within walking distance of the new 80,000 seat stadium they will build at Gate E (Footscray Road) when they flog off Etihad Stadium in 2025.

Why do we need another 80k stadium?

Just schedule according to capacity of the current venues.

A 7-4 MCG split with lower drawing games at Etihad is ideal...

Because the AFL will sell Etihad when they assume ownership of it in 2025.

Agro seems to know something as it not letting up!
We need to get out of Etihad today, not tomorrow or the day after that but TODAY.
It's not our future and never will be. Collo & his AFL mate should never be forgiven

Nope...AGRO needs to read my posts. the State Government has determined to further progress a proposal to develop the E-Gate site for urban development...OR what equates to 12,000 residents and 200,000 square metres of commercial and associated retail space.

As for the second point...end of 2014 is the earliest we leave Etihad. End of story.

So how do the highlighted words of yours above add value? It's been a pointless line of discussion carried out by yourself and a few others for years since the final game at PP and, as you'll surely have to agree, none of the facts have changed since then. So why keep going on about this pipe dream?

If nothing else, the 60K membership target is the first real concrete info we've had suggesting what the club needs to do in order to get a better deal at the MCG. And even that's up for debate, but there's more reality in that aim than redeveloping PP, haha.

We have an existing contract.

We don't control the fixture.

But, feel free to add some value by explaining how the club's future will be doomed if we don't get out of Etihad TODAY ... y'know, while they're still playing T20 cricket there during the off-season.

If you read my posts previously on this matter and would know where I have added value.
The AFL are playing us a nice ol tune (60K membership this time) and our supporters are falling for it hook, line and sinker, again!
The goal posts seem to move to accomodate them as they please continuously and I am now starting to think that our supporters are too stupid to recognise it or maybe even our club leaders are too weak to stand for CFC rights or even both.
All I know is that the once powerful CFC money making machine at PP, is no more and has become an also ran team within the telstra dome club environment surrounded by the StKilda's, Bulldogs & Kangaroos of this world.....
I don't want my club to end up on the history legend with these clubs but it seems some in here and maybe even out there are more than happy to accept it!
End of rant.
