..agreed, the issue these days is the better captain for a team may not be the best player, and trouble looms if they/re not polished in front of the cameras.. ..i reckon plenty of good captains are passed over due to being camera shy.. ....a bit like this, i think Krooz would also make an excellent captain as he's finding his voice..

..from what little we know, Carrots..

Brock Brock Brock. Jesus Christ. Can you just shut the f up.

This is incredibly disrespectful to Juddy. Wait until Judd decides he doesnt want the job before you open your big mouth.

Keep your mouth shut you goose.

There is nothing positive about this. SHUT UP!

Did I hear correctly on 3AW earlier this evening that Carrazzo has been given the gig? They/I must be wrong as I can't find it mentioned anywhere else...

McLean delist. 20 games in 3 years. He should know his place.
It's like marchesani commenting on johns tone or Fitzpatrick.
Get rid of him

I can like Brock one day and dislike him the next.

On this occasion I like what he said under the condition that he knows what's going on and that the CFC are open to having it discussed.

I also sort of like that the "aura" gap has closed between our best in Judd and the rest of our senior players. It doesn't feel......................exclusive???

Love yu guts harks....but are looking for escuses for Brock?

Some don't find nothing wrong with what he said.
The media can create headlines from what he said.
What's more poignant to our brand? What posters think or what media does with Brock's comments?

I'll say it here and now, based on what he just said, and his history in the media, including his twitter efforts and the hook line and sinker effort on OTC.

BROCK IS OUT OF ORDER!!!!!!!!!!
He doesn't know what he should and shouldn't say.

Mine is a protest vote against Brock the speaker, not the player.

Give some too much rope and you know the rest....FMD!!

If you guys don't get me I'll spell it out for you:

flower comment.

Do we have a policy on those types?

Well....About time we did.....Wake up!

Think about it. I don't care what sex he is or whether his pronounciation and tone was wonderful to the ear...it is about what he said...and whose behalf...not mine...that's for sure.

I was a fan of his second half effort....he can go and join Fevola and Coutts for all I care...disruptive imo.

Did he hasve a great time in the US where he didn't hav eto train too hard...@#$%&! hero...I'm not interested...but he thinks the world and some simpletons are interested in whatever he comments ion...@#$%&! off Brock and grow a brain this is a profesional industry where unfortunately everything counts...you belong in the Peninsula league...maybe Ovens & Murray (just had dinner with a senior committeeman fro over ther and they love Fevola.....all of them no matter what side...they all make money from attractions...freak shows always did so why not footy clubs?.

What a load of rubbish bondi.

When you watch the video and get a better understanding for the context in which McLean's comments were made it's clear there's nothing sinister or disrespectful at play.

Nothing to see here.

Football and a football team is not about one man.
The sooner this club starts to realise this the better chance it has of going forward.

Judd was a very ordinary captain and the club has been revolving around whats good for Juddy way too long.

Dont have a problem with what Brock said and like someone else has pointed out I find it refreshing when players are able to talk honestly without couching all their responses in approved sound bites
I think Chris Judd is old enough to handle the discussion
As for damaging the club I think this is waaaay down the list of what damages a club. I think a clanger kick that results in a turnover in the back line does more harm...

..Brock does like to talk, but most of the time he's not far off the mark.. ..it's been slowly put out in the media that Judd's stepping down as captain.. ..going by some of his on-field 'behaviour', especially this season,, you could tell that everything was beginning to become too much.. ..i think he'll relish being able to take a step back, he's always been a reluctant captain.. ..Brock's comments are just more of the same, ppl need to realise that he hasn't said anything new.. ..not on this Judd thing, not on FDee's tanking, not on much really..

Check out some of the drama queens on this forum!!

I dont see anything wrong with what Brock said. Just stating his opinion.

It doesnt destabalise the Club one bit. At the end of the day, he players will vote in the Captain and the Leadership Group like they do every year.

What Brock did or didnt say wont change that.

Reckon some people on here need that spoon full of concrete!

Not sure why everyone is having a hissy over Brock McLean's words. I find him quite a good speaker in footy and rather than constant "yeah-nahs" he adds some context and opinion. I don't think he throws anyone under the bus let alone the current captain, he does nominate him as the best player at the club... what he says is fine. Judd's is great at footy, and should focus on his footy because he is so important to the team.

It's clear also that Judd not captain is across the line so it's not about swings and roundabouts like other clubs.

Brock might polarize a few, but I like the lad.

Gerard Healy is very much of this view, but it seems very much that this won't be decided until February.

This.

McLean being so forthright is one of his better qualities IMO.
