November is a long way from the start of the season. Any gains made during the trip would surely become redundant by the time round 1 rolls around. Would probably prefer them going around the start of Feb.

I hear you T.
Personally, I prefer to admire my team from afar. If I know, or see anyone from the club, I like to not talk footy stuff, and not bug them about anything I might want to know.
However, I get the feeling the people at the top are more than a bit out of touch with the regular game goers. If we All are Carlton, then show it. Don't just fawn over the few who throw their money around.
I'd like to read a blog from an excited fan who got to go to Arizona with the club.
Maybe the comp could be a short piece on why you want to go, and your willingness to relate the experience back to fellow supporters.

..there might not be enough room on the plane..

..some say, that the players are bringing their hairdressers..
..others say, that they're bringing their valet to carry their handbags..

I get the feeling you think some of our boys don't have their mind on what's important.

Just a hunch.

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

I would expect $25-50k, somewhere in that range.

I have no issue with this at all, I would have an issue with some moron who gets lucky in a raffle going along.

Don't have a problem with corps going to Arizona...as long as they dont' get in the way.

Would also love to see bg's suggestion of some grass roots fans getting to go as well...what an experience that would be!

I went to Qatar last year and haven't sent the club the photos of me and my Carlton Jumper and Arabian gear on...even grew a goatie for it, to blend in.....too bloody hot, no beer, no women, no fun, too boring...not worth the trouble.

Players really have their energy sapped in those condiditons.

As for Arizona, there would be beer, and fun to be found....so yeah, that would be a great experience.

The boys have arrived safely, good to see Betts made the trip afterall.
Not sure how to post them but there are some good photos on the club website of training in the snow.

Eddie is only staying one week, whereas the boys have two weeks training and most will hang back another week for some sporting indulgences.

that video was great . I love Jammo.
It was like a Monkees episode, where Jammo was Mike Nesmith.
He just neeeded a green beanie. :-)

Absolutely no wags involved.
The whole idea of this trip is to "get-to-know" without any external interruptions.

Malthouse has made quite an impact in his short time at the club.
Plenty of fondness abounds.............for now at least.
