For the third year in a row I had hoped to buy my grandson a membership so I could take him to the games with me and it ends up that we only have three afternoon games -The three afternoon games are Port Adelaide GWS and Richmond. That's really going to get him interested.
Depends on how young your grandson is.
I have found that around 4 to 5 years of age - the main point of interest is "hot dogs" and "chips".
From around 6 to 8 years of age - its colour and movement.
From around 8 onwards its about winning - so without wanting to put a "mozz" on it I would have thought Port, GWS and Richmond may be just what the doctor ordered.

From around 13 to 18, it's ooh, look at Bryce's arm muscles. Oh, mum, whos' that (insert opp player) guy? me..the one who just tackled/marked/goaled in spectacular fashion? her..I dunno, that guy there, with the tan, and great hair.
The rest of the game they sit with the phone in front of their face giggling and exchanging texts.
Membership for girly teens? Priceless.
