with the next free agency about to start i wonder if the club will use this spare spot on the list to sign up a delisted player from another club.

Maybe Petterd is a better option than Collins?

They probably had to. We have to delist a certain number of players every year, and given the well-known contract status of the rest of our list, someone had to be the sacrificial lamb.

That should be Collins who hopes to be re-listed. Blues will let him train with the club until the draft.

Dont understand that logic because I thought provided you have 3 live picks in the draft then you dont need to do anything else with your list necessarily
Seems odd to delist and then try to re-list in december pre-season draft

We still cant use pick 71, as technically now we have 4 spots left, and if we use 3 in the ND and 1 in the preseason draft to get Collins, then back to square one. Please explain ?

Had delisted enough without Collins, so it's not that.
I figure there must be a delisted Free Agent that we want. Wouldn't imagine that we'd be that desperate to use #71 instead of Collins.

Do we ever annouce anything on our web-site re: delistings. Very slow/quiet, need to wait for AFL.com to have a snippet in there to know what's going on.

Wonder if A.Collins will be PSD (as mentioned) or the Rookie Draft. Strange if the PSD, unless we're either hoping to wrangle someone in the next de-listing period from tomorrow, or just keeping the deck open for any surprises that may still be there late in the Nov Draft. A good move though for either.
