Soft draws, Lull us into believing we are a top team.

I would rather play and beat the better teams early in the season and get softer teams in the middle.

We need to get Pies, Hawks, Cats, Dons and Tigers twice.

Yes a soft draw lulled Adelaide to a top 4 spot and Swans to a flag

Soft draw helps

I've had enough of excuses. Hard draws, injuries, bad coaching, soft players running only 1 way, etc....
It's time this club bleed's for success again and does not tolerate anything less. ENOUGH ALREADY!
I remember the hurt of 1 loss during the home and away season and how I would hurt for the week, until we redeemed the next.
I want that feeling again and now.

The Blues are expected to be given a fixture on Wednesday in which they play just one finals side twice.

That side is Collingwood, with the blockbuster status of the rivalry and revenue generated over-riding the issue of a double-up against a top-four side.

Story isn't as exciting as the headline suggests as it merely just confirms the report from earlier in the week that all teams from 9-18 will get an easier draw next year regardless.....

Surprised at the negativity about that story (or maybe I'm not).

No excuses.

Coming from as supporter of a side that has beaten Collingwood twice in 2012, Sydney twice in 2011, yet has mixed up such wins with losses to WB, GC and Port I'm not going to over analyse our draw.

I do laugh though at the Media/fans who obsess over how many times everyone plays the 'last years top 8 vs non top 8' sides to describe the draw, but really what does it mean?

Sure it's a guide but apart from the fact that obviously 2013 is different to 2012, we could play Freo, Geel, Coll and Nth, GWS twice and really would it be much significantly harder than if it was say Sydney, St Kilda, Richmond, Essendon* and Brisbane?

Yet one draw has us playing 4 'top 8 sides' twice, the other just 1.

The gap last year between Richmond, Essendon*, Carlton and St Kilda with GWS, Port, WB, GC and Melbourne was far greater than the gap between the lower sides of the 8 with the upper sides of the bottom 10.

Will anyone factor in the hype that Richmond and (I can only assume) Essendon* will take into next year. Top 4 side without injuries according to Luke Darcy.......Assuming we play them twice, you wonder how many people in one hand will talk up these teams, whilst in the other mocking our easy draw.

HS told everyone last week about the draws, yet 'I'm Ralph' runs the same thing with a 'Carlton gifted dream draw' tinge and I've already seen a heap of tweets and posts complaining about it.

Simplistic dumbed down crap to feed the masses with what they want to hear....

We only play one Top 8 team twice. Collingwood of course.
Excellent draw, especially if we play well early on.

Nice draw.
As per usual playing Collingwood, Essendon* and Richmond twice.
Port Adelaide twice is a bonus.
St Kilda are on the slide so I'm happy to be playing them twice as well.

Interstate matches against West Coast and Sydney will be tough however Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Gold Coast are very winnable.

A good start is the key. We have a "softish" finish to the year.

Reading backwards:

Port
Bummers
Tiggies
Dogs
Freo
Suns
