No idea why they picked him up but good luck to Jordy nonetheless... his team can rot though

Will be very interesting to see if they can get his body right, and get him playing good footy. Will be a easy to see case study in the differences between a well run club and one that perhaps is run not quite as well. I will let you work out which club is which.

Good luck to him. Seriously.
He was a great mascot/sponsored player for TC. Now we've lost both of them (along with Bower).
I met first met him through the Player Sponsorship program dinner Mrs Caz invited me to.
Great night. He was a lot of fun, and even better after that too. My son Carlton adores him.

Now he's a Pie. He knows what that means for a Carlton supporter. Bad luck. But good luck if you know what that means.
If it doesn't suit Carlton I curse Collingwood everyday of the week.

Can't really understand why we even bothered with this trade, unless Collingwood REALLY wanted him. Good luck to him anyway, hope he gets paid a shitload of cash to play in the 2's every week and contribute in no way to Collingwood actually winning anything*

But you know what, at least we FINALLY got involved in a trade.

*They'll probably turn him into a gun

Mixed emotions on this one.

One part of me says he's shown very little over the last 3 years and many players have gone past him.

The other side says, there are at least 3 or 4 players on our list still that should have been gone well before him, again a result of the very poor list management from the club.

I've heard some stories of degenerative elbow problem etc etc. don't know if true.
If he goes on and the Pies get his head right and he plays well for them ill be rapt for him..... but ill be bloody fuming at the club.

Well I'm going to have a rant about this, but before I start let me clearly state one proviso : Carlton are only intending to use three picks in the national draft, (#11, #36, #56).

Why have we done this deal? We get NOTHING out it. Why not say to the Filth you can have Russell for a swap of your #48 for our #56? At least we'd get something. And if they "no, we'll take him as a delisted player" ... fine then. They can take the risk, albeit a small one, that someone else takes him. Makes no difference to us if they get him for #71 or as a delisted player -- we should've given ourselves at least a chance of gaining something.

That is all.

Exactly!!! As I said elsewhere even Richmond managed to upgrade 10 places in the draft by offloading a dud like Angus Graham.
