I'm not so sure.
I could easily see next off-season being reasonably similar to this off-season.

Finding it a little tiresome people taking pot shots at a 21 year old who has spent almost a year on the side lines through injury and has played a total of 15 games .
He was thought good enough for the match committee to select him to do big jobs in 3 finals . Yes thats right 3 of his 15 games have been finals

Kid hasnt even had chance to settle and because he made a couple of costly mistakes we want to punt him

By round 22 next year if he can stay fit people will be eating their words about him

This

I get what you guys are saying, just amazed that a club hasn't given him an offer too good to refuse. Unless Norwood are already doing that.

Not sure these "too good to refuse" deals exist for assistant coaches, unless your name is Bomber Thompson.

I have no idea of his family situation, but maybe he likes living in Adelaide :yikes:

does not compute.....

Don't worry. Computers will make it to WA soon enough.

He might not have participated in Trade week (yet) but he has traded in his old Lexus for a new Hyundai.

Nup, still can't stomach it. Kept getting told to 'toughen up' and 'support the Club' but this sour old coot has been on my hated list for such a long time I can't really find a positive in it.

The good news is that, if it all goes tits up, I can start kicking MM much sooner than a former club champ.

So what if he's a sour old coot? The old coot can coach. In what has been the toughest era to coach, he was sacked whilst at the top of his game. You'd be sour too. He's our coach now.....Be happy!!!

I've never hated him, always thought he was a bit of a wanker at times but tolerable

Sheedy on the other hand...

I'll just settle for him gracing us with his presence and starting to earn his first of three mill.

Scary.

A much more apt perspective.

Yeah i am struggling too. My love of Carlton and football in general is very different to what it was pre MM signing. At the risk of sounding like Doc Sherrin I hope this does not last long. Stopping just short of "i hope we lose so things change." Only just though. Maybe he will find his heart is not really in it and quit mid season.

Actually, the fact that senior Filth players were prepared to start a petition to keep Mick in the job ahead of the club's favourite son actually made me feel quite comfortable.

Actually the fact that the bitter old egomaniac went public with this, following his attempts to undermine Buckley during the year and Richardson as he was being sacked by the Blues help confirm what I think of our beloved new coach. He is going to have to be unbelievably good to get me to unhate him a little. I suspect MM started the petition and signed it on behalf of several Pies players who have trouble with writing. Collingwood gave him 12 years to win a flag and massive resources, what has he got to be bitter about? Pagan, for all his faults never publicly bagged the Blues even tho he had way more cause than Malthouse. This appointment (and the people making the decisions) is making it very hard for me to support the club as I have in the past
