I've heard Bassett is a bit of a different cat, but it's really got me beat how an AFL club hasn't snapped him up yet.

I think it's his choice, more than clubs not wanting him.
Also, SANFL coaches get decent money. Maybe not at a good assistant coach's level, but still a good wage.

Assistant coaches can be worked hard by some coaches. He's probably waiting for the offer that suits him best.

I get what you guys are saying, just amazed that a club hasn't given him an offer too good to refuse. Unless Norwood are already doing that.

Not sure these "too good to refuse" deals exist for assistant coaches, unless your name is Bomber Thompson.

I have no idea of his family situation, but maybe he likes living in Adelaide
