1. Garlett? - we don't know the story
2. Russell and Thornton have walked out - big deal, shouldn't be in our best 28 if we are a serious contender
3. Bell and Casboult are trying to be poached - good, shows they're developing nicely
4. Boak turned us down - how do you know? besides, he turned everyone down to stay loyal, good on him
5. Cloke is about to turn us down - maybe, maybe not, but most people think he should stay anyway
6. Caddy and Toy have shown no interest in coming - how do you know?
7. Kilkenny is talking to Hawthorn instead of us - an untried Irish player who's never played the game...nightmare
8. We are getting Lynch - that's the one thing I would actually agree with you on, IF it happens.

What is going on at Carlton?

Rumours, Rumours and Rumours.

If Garlett is unhappy trade him. No loss.
Russell & Thornton. Good
Bell & Casboult will be fine
Boak chose Port over Geelong. We were never in it
Caddy & Toy. Manager in discussion with a few clubs. Will hinge on who can do deal with GC
Kilkenny. Still well in it
Lynch. A lot believe he is coming. Im told he is staying.

These are only a part of whats happening. There are a number of players we are chasing and some we hope to trade.

Will be an interesting trade period.

Don't think they're trading Garlett guys, they're definitely going to lay down the law to him though.

At a guess, forty of them will involve packaging Paul Bower as a "sweetener" to entice every current Brownlow medalist over.

I've heard or seen written today we are getting Goddard, Caddy, Lynch, Toy and we are trading Garlett, Warnock, Hampson & Bower.

Going to be an interesting few weeks.

Strong interest in 206 from nth of the border - with the proposed deal Blues won't need to pay any of his salary.

John Ralph reporting 206 got a payrise when he re- signed. Sorry John bad guess, incorrect.

One of our ruckmen just has to go you'd think, especially with the 2nd sub mooted

You don't think Robbo adds grunt?

Not at all. Robbo is grunt, and Bell showed some grunt with an extra..what.. 15kg?

Judd Murphy Gibbs Carrazzo Simpson and Robbo are crucial to our midfield.
Bell's a keeper and will add a lot to that midfield if Robbo is on different missions, like the Fletcher gig, or a forward role; he can snag a few playing forward.

The fact is one of our ruckmen is expendable.
And what he could bring can be used to improve other aspects of our list.

Yeah, it would be a great luxury to keep all 3 ruckman (how rare is it for all to be available at the same time?!) but to improve our list we'll have to give up something of value.

Hope we get more than the "3 magic beans" we got for the last ruckman we traded.

Heard that rubbish from Ralph today. He just makes stuff up and then walks away when challenged.
He couldn't work out how we could afford Cloke.
Russell, Bower and Thornton out (all on good money, my guess average 250)
Simpson and Waite to veterans list ( i think half goes to vets, some say only 100)
McLean down from 400 to 300 is my guess
Warnock down from 400
Judd reduces by around 150 this year i believe.

In my view this year will be easier to fit Cloke than later years.
Should front load his first year to hurt Collingwood.

You mean the 2nd round pick we gave to Geelong for Laidler?
