From that piece, it's clear that Caro knows no more than we do about the boardroom situation at Carlton. You'd like to think that a media outlet's chief football writer would have a little more to go on than that, but hey...

Walls just has grumpy old man syndrome these days, or should I say 'grumpier'.

His comments are irrelevant, if they ever were.

Walls questioning his membership for next year due to how the club is being run is amusing assuming that he's been a member over the past 10-15 years.....

As for Wilson I was thinking that having the likes of Malthouse, Sayer and Fahour wanting to join the club could only be a good thing, but she wants to spin into a club in turmoil/factions beat up. Was boring the panel last night on Classified with it as well.

Remember its only September and the only people we are hearing from are Ratten, Barrett, Parkin, Walls, Wilson etc.

Players still have weeks before they set foot into the club.

A couple of quotes about how the are jumping out of their skins, some new faces arriving, and the return of Walkers hat and this will soon all be forgotten.

Did any of the present board members have any involvement in salary cap cheating in the 90s/early 00s? If they did, should they be on the board at all?

I still like Wallsy. He's entitled to his opinion. Although this time next year I'm really looking forward to a Caro writing Speaking from his Chateau ver de flor vineyard a few miles outside of Bordeaux, Walls said 'Le Carlton Club de football a été très décevante jusqu'à présent cette année. J'aurais pensé Michael Malthouse aurait eu entre eux assis à l'intérieur les quatre premiers.'

I can easily fix the problem of too many board members and not being able to fit Fahour, Sayers, Trainor and Mathieson.

See ya Bear, see ya Sticks.

Rohan Connolly was on radio last week saying he'd just been at a function to farewell 60 of his 'The Age' colleagues. Remarked on how sad it was, and how much journalism had changed, and lost quality people in the process. Yet here we are, a week later, and TC breaks the Sayers story to me about 3 days before the 'Chief Football Writer for 'The Age'.

Mainstream media journo's are overly self-indulgent & delusional, IMO

I'm sure there are many people who do like Walls' comments. I just find them to be a little too obvious and without a great deal of depth. I guess the comments, though, must do something because he creates a level of debate amongst people, as we are doing right now.
