Has Ben Reid signed anyone?? IMO would be every bit as handy as Cloke.. And perhaps at half the cost..

Hawthorn didnt get lucky.. theyre well run organisation....

StKilda played in 2 gfs.. and some prelims..

Thats thereabouts....

We had Ratts for over 5 years......unlucky.....he even gave up Kennedy and Masten.. and pick 20 for Juddy... and pick 11 for Brock... and an early pick for Warnock

Plus we used picks on Watson and Russell and Lucas...

Thats a problem with the organization and the coaches and development/ recruiters

For those saying no to Cloke.

Just out of curiosity who plays Full Forward for us in 2013?

Anyone of Hampson/Mitchell/Casboult/Rowe/Lynch, who combined will cost less than Cloke.

Synbad, Hawthorn missed out on some high draft picks as well. Can't remember the KP names right now but there were 2 in the top 10 in the end they let go as well. They got a little lucky with those Roughy and Franklin but my point is that if your well organised, etc - you don't need high draft picks to do well. Just make the picks count and develop accordingly. By the way its not all the senior coaches fault either that we drafted how we did.

ps. Thorpe is one.

Dowler and Muston a couple of the others.
You could probably add Xavier Ellis as well.

I am getting really annoyed when people now are poo pooing the Judd deal. The same people who supported it at the time. The deal was win/win and Judd brought a lot to the club. We might not have taken full advantage of him but that is not the deal's fault. Spare me the constant hindsight stuff. It really grates.

I know plenty of Hawthorn supporters saying Kennet was right and should have got rid of Clarkson. Plenty saying he should have done better than what he has returned so far as well!!!!! Lucky for them he is still there and might win them another now.
Again you cannot just point to the president & coach. The organisation as a whole needs to be evaluated and that includes board members and CEO.

We lost Kennedy in the end Synbad. We should have fought a little more as we had the upper hand and I said that at the time but Juddy was a win in so many ways, it's not up for discussion IMHO.

You fully supported it at the time. I also remember you were very keen on Tambling ....... The club has done good recruiting in the rookie area (actually outstanding) and badly in the area of ~pick 10 to 40. We know that. Let the Judd deal alone. 99%of people on TC supported it. WC got a good deal, but we really needed a Judd type at the time.

Please explain what we lost, pick 3, Masten lol. Pick 20 who isn't even at West Coast now. Kennedy fair enough but we had to give up something. Did you not want Judd when we got him?

Mikkey EVERYONE was keen on Tambling... would i have used my pick on him before Deledio or Franklin... maybe not...nice to have 2 sucks of the sauce bottle in that draft though... Griffen was another...

Noone did shit with a priority pick in that draft...

And i didnt FULLY support Judd... though i was reporting we would get him.....

But KOUTA here... who is the general on big footy..(he has run away for some reason ) used to quote me saying .."We should never do deals like the judd deal " as his singature 4 years ago....

5 years on.... he isnt the messiah we thought he was is he???

5 million dollars later... Kennedy Masten and a pick 20.....

Still he might just do it....
