If Carlton had got through to the final against West Coast - how would we have gone?

Only a hypothetical, but who would have taken their forward talls? Jamison probably would have been back, Watson maybe.

In return they don't really have anyone to match up on Waite and Casboult (if back).

The eternal optimist, I would have backed us.

I have no doubt we would have played with more spirit and emotion than the Roos, and would really want that final win to play back in Melbourne etc.

Very impressed with the physical size and pressure of the West Coast though...

Would have been close(r).

What a waste it was to have North play WCE.

Carlton would have had 20000 more supporters than NM to inspire their team over there.

And... we would've won by 5 pts...prove me wrong!

WCE had 4 talls to cover in their forwardline.

MM suggests that teams with 3 talls are difficult to beat.

We would've given them a touch up in the midfield.

We could have played Waite, Casboult, Kreuzer and Walker as our 4 talls.
They couldn't cover those 4 whilst Bettsy and Jeff run amok.

I think we would have won by 4,000 points.

I agree, and if anyone argues otherwise they can hypothetically get stuffed

It doesn't matter we've got Matthew Watson. WOW! what a monumental error.

Decisions like Watto over Darling can cost clubs big time.

Now we have to chase Cloke...

Nah..... North had zero heart in that match.

I know we lost to GC and Port in similar fashion...... But we would have given it a shot!

Doubt we would have won, but we wouldn't have been pumped!

Having served his two years Darling would've now requested a trade back home. Possibly in a straight swap for Koby Stevens.

Hypothetically speaking of course.
