well he said he was happy at WCE, his family is settled and was hoping to stay beyond his contract so dont think he is coming to us. Was hoping he was.

Where is Leon Cameron currently an assistant at, Hawthorn?
Apparently we're chasing one other whose club is going deep in Sept. Who else is left @ Collingwood that MM would approach?

Interesting reading the Hawthorn Assistant Coaches. Not many big names, but their development has been pretty good recently.

here's one out of left field and would surprise me but at East Freo oval today all the talk was Wiley and Chris Waterman to Carlton. Apparently Waterman has been toMelb twice last week once to meet Malthouse and the other to meet Swann, McKay etc....

believe it if I see it.

Is he going to bring Worsfold? That'd be good.

Would be nice, but the exact quote that has been used in at least two articles is along the lines of:

"It is known that his prime target for an assistant’s appointment in his new-look Blues coaching regime is still engaged in AFL finals at a club with PROSPECTS of playing deep into the premiership play-off series", which of course could mean from any side.

Article in the HUN by Mark Stevens. He's talking about Gibbs. Couldn't agree more with this.

Quote:
He should be elite. He should be played in the guts as an ''inside'' midfielder.

'Don'tcha know you gotta shock the monkey'

Didn't we hear Old Malty speak him up on that 5AA interview? If not there, then I definitely heard him say good stuff on radio recently, and wondered if it meant we had him.
Is that good?

If you like your coaches tough he's your man. No bullsh1t ever.

Hard worker. He took on coaching Peel Thunder and LIVED! He should get a medal just for that.

Being an a former WCE player guarantees you a job in anything you want in this state and he chooses to coach.

He's a good coach but hasn't had the success that Watters had with Subi but that might be due to Subi not spending twice the amount of the other WAFL clubs since Watters left.

Im a fan.

He will make the club like a family where everyone trusts each other and will bring passion back.

The first player I think will go is Joseph, Mick has always hated tagging and that's all pretty much Joseph can do. He is a very limited player. Mick will go after deffenders as he prides himself on coaching a great deffensive side. I would not be suprised if Thornton got a chance under Mick and he comes back.

He will love players who play with alot of heart and passion and Armfield is one of them. I can also see him replacing Garlett with Ellard. Garlett will be in and out of the side.
