Its Carlton or Collingwood.
70% us(guess)... he can change his mind ... and stay..... but he will be on less...
He prefer to play for Collingwood ... under MM....

Which cant happen....

oh and more importantly... one last contract to see him out

Appreciated. Thank you.

All I know is it's time for the Carlton FC to get back to being "simply the best".

Cloke's have said all along it is the length of the contract and not the money. If Pies are offering 700 to 800k 4yr deal with 5th year dependant on certain KPI's being met and then we come along and offer the same coin and offer 6yrs they wold seriously have to consider it.

Greg Swan said yesterday that they have not spoken to Cloke, but I don't buy that. They must have spoken to Ralph Carr to give an indication of what they would offer.

Obviously I have not evidence and this is all speculative. I do trust however that Synbad is on the money. I am new here, but I have heard of the great Synbad on other CFC forums.

One thing is for sure, things will coe to a head once finals are over for the Pies.

see Synners, you are sooo popular , you get 2 posts.

If we get Cloke and don't lose a player from our best 22.
I'm on board
The players MUST take a pay cut.
Premierships are built on sacrifice
End of next year Judd will reduce in cost significantly

If Cloke plays up the ground and works as hard as he does now. We'll be very strong

Alistair Lynch went to Brisbane at 25 on a ten year contract. He lasted 11 years.

6 years is nothing :donk:

Of course Lynch went for $200k/year.....

Lynch also had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome...I suspect Cloke has the same condition this year.

You're asking for home grown players (plural) that are develped form with in to sacrifice their future and team harmony for an inconsistent and selfish outsider?
Premierships are built on sacrificial acts for each other as a group not for just one, on and off ground.
Develop from now and from within for the future and growth of our footy club.
We have the players to make some head way all we need noe is a the new coach to bond them and demand success.

The recruiting of Greg Williams really hurt us in 1995 ...

Very good and easy to say but have you actually compaired the two cases?

Tell me you're not putting Travis Cloke in the same realm as one of the AFL Team Of The Century players :donk:

Saints poaching Hamill is a much more apt comparison.

So far I've heard that

he's signed, sealed and coming to carlton, 100% guaranteed.
he's 90% likely to stay at collingwood.
he was coming to carlton, but the debacle at Gold Coast forced him to reconsider.
he's coming provided his mum and dad get to run the carlton cafe. The cafe to be called 'Hang On a 'Mo, or The Cloke Room.
the whole thing's a sham to drive his price up.
we're really after <insert big fish> and this is all a smokescreen.

I guess one of these will be true.

I find with poaching, cafe's generally put way to much vinegar in the water

Paragon Cafe, Rathdowne Street Carlton North! GREAT Poached Eggs!

What's that got to do with the topic at hand you ask? Well, it's me saying that the quality of Poached Eggs are more important than
T. Cloke.
