If two touch Rioli gets the gig ahead of Eddie they can get stuffed.

Eddie doesn't have cheerleaders in the media pumping him up at every opportunity like some.

But I am sure the media discussion on his omission will be punctuated by a "relevant" comment about his shorts.

If he didn't make the team last year he was no chance this year.

Betts, Rioli and Milne are all in the squad and the only players you might describe as forward-pocket players.

Given that the AA committee love to match 3 tall forwards with as many midfielders as they can muster, his best hope would be on the bench.

Milne 56.38
Betts 48.30

As much as I hate to state it, Milne gets the nod ahead of Eddie.

Need to consider Betts had turns through the midfield, played FF, CHF and occasionally FP.

Depends. What are the inside 50 tackle stats? What about pressure acts? Without looking at the stats I would have thought that Eddie attacks all facets of the game with effort. Milne is a front runner.

They were saying Eddie was going to get it because he had more goal assists

Yeah but Cyril's kicked 35 goals this year so he wins easily...

Betts has had a better all-round year than Milne and Cyril, but I wouldn't be surprised if he missed out because the people who make the final calls are full of shit. But congrats to Eddie nonetheless for getting recognised, and given our year he's really the only one who's deserved a mention (Brock's second half would've done the job too had it translated to a full year).

Congrats also to Sam "Not worth a 1st round draft pick" Jacobs, well deserved

..Jacobs is the biggest recipient of a new coach and midfield set-up.. ..hoping we can achieve the same, midfield set-ups durin g this season were subpar at times..
