I guess full credit must go to the coaching staff :thanks:

Summed up our season really - terrible disposal terrible skills - horrendous goalkicking 3 goals 8 when dominating in third quarter - dominated the stats and overrun in the end - injury plagued even during and before game - in front by enough to win half way through last quarter but couldnt hold on - never win at etihad - leaders non existent - team flakey with little grit /application when times get tough - not mentally tough enough

Positives

Mclean excellent - another contract surely

Bell McCarthy Mitchell Okeefe getting another run - used a great number of players this season should augur well for next season

Wont/cant have as horror run with injuries next year

Heat now on players for disappointing season

A new coach new start

I'm surprised there is so much angst after this game. I think the result was ok, we outplayed the opposition with an undermanned side and have a higher spot in the draft. All good.

How did those ferals manage to draw?!!

Actually touched them up. Milne was rendered impotent and very lucky to get his only goal. Of the 15 free kicks we got about 5 of them were for ferocious tackles which were ruled holding the ball. People were predicting a 100 point loss and it ended up being 15 when we had two on the bench for more than half the game.

Watters can't have much upstairs when he's sprouting shit like this:

Quote:
do forwards often wrestle with defenders? Do forwards often target defenders? I don't think so, it's generally the other way around

Well, no shit.

If Watters and Milne thought that was torrid, I can't imagine the bleating we'll get next year if Malthouse is coach because he absolutely hates Milne.

and that was a gift from umpire jordan bannister - kicking in danger every day of the week - even commentators said that. gave them momentum when they got in front

or find a way to bring back the other Garlett: circa 2009-10.

He can be amazing, because he has been....but can he?

I think he'll be better with better sleeping habits once that newborn improves his sleeping patterns. I'm hoping because Garlett should have been dropped for form reasons a long way back.

I'd trade Gartlett if there were a decent offer on the table

To WA for Scott Lycett. Do it.

Very talented 202cm key forward/ruckman, 19 years old and stuck behind Cox, NicNat, Kennedy, Lynch, Darling.

O'Keeffe left the field dazed.
That act was as hard as Steve Johnson's and further off the ball.
Disgrace.
He had Goddard well under control at the time.

No chance.

Cox is 31, Lynch nearly 30 and some chance to leave under free agency.

WC have put 2 years into Lycett. Highly rated junior. Slid to WC's second round, after being touted to go as early as Port 1st pick in 2010.

LeCras, Nicoski back next year. Hams/Hill did OK this year in the small to medium fwd range. Dont think there would be much of a pressing need for Garlett.

Lycett only playing a hand full of games in his first 2 years is to be expected considering his size and age.

Robbo a bit stiff. Absolutely crunched Tom (worst haircut in AFL) Simpkin in a fair tackle; Simpkin went nuts and retaliated, Robbo not taking it of course but certainly stiff to get bigger fine when Simpkin was the guy who started the hostilities.

I think we need to help Robbo out next year. Lets start a "Robbo Fine Sponsorship" for 2013. We all love the way he plays and we dont want him to change at all. Put me down for $100.

Robbo delivered the cleanest bump I've seen in a few years. Glad it was cleared.

Genuine hip and shoulder to the side will always be OK.

Settle down, BB. Garlett will be fine. Collins doesn't have the pace of Garlett and is a list clogger.

Only thinking today about how Adelaide lost their last minor round game last year by over 15 goals.

I reckon they are over that now!

TC gave the game about 24 hours of angst, and then the thread stopped to a crawl. That's probably all it deserved.

Was a bit like watching a NAB game. More interested in Mitchell, Paddy, ROK than the actual result. Probably winning or losing by a massive margin would have posed more questions then a small loss.

As mentioned Robbo's bump was a textbook hip and shoulder. Don't know why it was even an issue.

Watters will probably have a whinge about Montagna's suspension now.

Still flummoxed that the hit on ROK didn't even get noticed by the maggots.
