We have a president that said we will have a review after the year finishes and then sacks the coack before the year finishes... and tells us how hard it was to sack him over and over again... and gives us his pouty face ... to show us he is a good bloke who had to do something difficult.
"hardest thing ove ever had to do... la di di la di blah"

At this club..... its all about the individuals...

"I dont wanna talk a bout Eddie.. except for this this this and this....poor Ratts... really hard thing to do...... mist difficult thing i have ever had to do......hate being prez..... "

Well atleast it looks like we have decided to replace Barker.
Hopefully he gets just 1 year for evaluation, if so.
Hopefully he has enough kahoones to tell Betts what he expects of him as well, ie. Play small and not tall.

I think the hardest thing he ever had to do was pretending to be reluctant.

Surrey, how do you know it's not the coaching staff that tell Eddie to play like that, as he is very good one on one. He is probably only doing what he has been asked to do.

That would also be one reason why Barker would need to go.....Betts should never play tall. Simple
Having said that though, he (Betts) also mentioned in an interview that he refused to listen to Barker who told him to get out of the goal square, etc....

So let's get this straight:

Midseason, Sticks couldn't say whether Ratten would keep his job until year's end.
Then Ratten won a few games, and it was all good for Ratten.
Then Ratten lost a few games, and Sticks said that there'd be a review at the end of the year re Ratten and all other facets. Now not so good for Ratten.
Then Ratten won a few games, and it was all good for Ratten.
Then Ratten lost a game, and Sticks fired Ratts before the review.
Then Sticks intimated in the presser that Malthouse's availability kinda forced his hand on Ratten.
Then Sticks said that while he's a reluctant president, the members keep voting him in, so he has to stay on until 2014. Reluctantly, one would presume.
Then Sticks calls Ken Wood a Nazi, and we lose to St Kilda, and Mick needs to do a book tour before he can coach us.
Meanwhile, the guy who keeps the club afloat and is likely paying for Ratten's payout and Mick's payday, lives in Queensland and thinks that the board is stacked with complete idiots, and wants changes made.
While Jeannie Pratt loves Roosy, but Roosy loves his missus and won't come down and coach us.
And Nanette is crying, and Swann isn't really saying anything, which is a pity because every time Sticks says something, it comes out wrong.
And Fraser Brown is still really pissed off about Ratts, and Brown owns lots of earthmoving equipment, so you really don't want to piss him off.
Sometimes I think the least-stupid thing that the club has done this year is stick Jeffrey Edelstone in the coach's box.
Mick must really, really, really, really, really want to coach again if he's considering walking into the club that Carlton has become.

I feel for the doberman. Nothing worse than a sore toenail, especially on the preferred scratching foot.

John... personally i think Mick really doesnt really wanna do it for us.... but what will inspire motivate him... is to @#$%&! up Collingwood.
He will even deliver to us their only worthwhile tall... and eve n better than Trent Hotton stealing the gameplan and sending them to us... Mick will have every bit of of info of all those jailbird uniformed pieces of shit.. he knows what they eat... when they eat.. what music they like.. who their tattoo artist is... even what colour jocks they wear...
I think by the time MM is through with Collingwood... they wont bother us again for a long long long long time......
Eddie might have to be saved for health reasons.....

I think what will motivate MM is for us to be more succesful than Collingwood.. and ultimately he would love to have Buckley sacked!!!

Wouldnt suprprise me in the box during the finals he disects and dismembers Collingwood limb by limb with his special comments for the opposition coaches.

Somehow i dont think hes a good guy to get offside....

So even if he doesnt see our club as a great club professionalism wise.... its a great vehicle for him to drive and rip Collingwood apart.

No lack of motivation there.

Bad things are about to happen to Eddie me thinks....

Imagine though is MM is really a sstudent of the classics and him and Eddie and Swan have been reading Homer's Iliad and they were truly inspired with the 'Trojan Horse'.
Maybe they hatched up a plan where they send Swan MM Richaardson Brown Barham at membership dept and Travis in all on big money to wreck this footy club?
Maybe Eddie sees himself as King Agamemnon and Malthouse as the cunning and resourceful Odysseus Swan is Nestor Travis as Big Ajax ...
Sticks is King Priam.. and Ratts is Hector with Geoffrey Edelsten as Paris and the very beautiful *cough* Brynne as the gorgeous Helen....

Maybe all this is to kill us and rescue Brynne???

Begs the question why I continue to be so heavily emotionally invested in the club.
