Cloke just reminding all potential bidders he wants 5 million over 5 years

But lets see what happens over the next month - lets be honest Essenscum aren't actually the yardstick at the moment to gauge a players ability to towel up quality opposition

Agreed, but too much 'Bring Back Fev' culture is worse...

Cloke decided during the week he definitely wants to stay at Collingwood. His preferred club was Carlton, that was until the prospect of being coached by Malthouse again became a reality.

Or maybe Sticks persuaded him to stay on, stay loyal.

Not sure why we'd do that?

If we don't want him, fine, but why tell anyone else about it when we can dilute the market for other players?

He would just cost too much. To give someone as inconsistent as him a 5 year deal at $1m a year is just wrong.

On our list we have Henderson, Casboult, Mitchell, Rowe, Waite who can all play tall forward. Surely we can develop one or two out of that. Look at the structure of Collingwood and Freo yesterday. They effectively do it with ONE key forward.

Supported by Walker, Betts, Garlett, Judd (finally going fwd), Robinson, Yarran we can be a potent side.

Surely, today was just another example. We need to get more mids who can use the ball properly. Add a Caddy, Boak or Goddard type to the mid and build internally with 6-7 selections and we can do okay.

I also have hopes for Dale, Buckley, Lucas, OKeefe to be regular players who are better kicks and we have missed Watson, Laidler, Touhy, McInnes in parts during the season who are good ball users as well.

Get better work into Yarran & Gibbs and you'll find our kicking get better as well.

I'll have much more volatile language at the ready if we bring him into our club. Unless of course we sign him for half the price listed here.

Why would we go for another forward that can't kick straight? We already have plenty of those.

Then you've clearly missed that that was his only good game in months
