Well maybe you should have all pulled the finger out a little earlier in the season...

Scotland is one of the players who can be excused from blame.

Platitudes.

To be honest, footballers rarely speak the truth so you have to listen to anything they say with a grain of salt. Remember after Pagan got the arse, all the players are moping around with hangdog expressions and saying how terrible they feel and it's their fault and they're really sorry.... the fact was most of the list was rapt that he'd got the arse (ex players have since come out and said just as much) but of course they can't say that at the time.

They just follow the footballer's script, and they know what to say.

But yeah he's right... they played poorly and Ratten got sacked. But the question he won't answer right now is 'why did we play so poorly that Ratten got the sack?'

That's the kind of question that's only truthfully answered one-on-one, not in the media.

Soft cocks

Another example of why we need a dictator to run this group...

Disagree. There's been games were Scotland The Brave could have changed his name to 50 perCent.

IMO Kade Simpson is the only player who can be excused. 100% every game, broken jaw or not.

I'm too old for idolizing players but if I was to get anyone's number on the back of my jumper, it would be number 6

Scotland = Possibly best leader at the club.

Vigorous co-sign. If I had a little fella I would be strongly suggesting a no. 6. He is Carlton.

Despite the high profiles of #s 1, 3, 4 and 5, I can say it was a proud day with the little man announced he was Simmo and proceeded to kick on his left (good stuff for a natural right footer!

I can't really fault Scotland's playing record but he's far from my favourite Carlton personality.

Anyway, the day he takes a back seat is the day I know we are on our way.

Well Scotty will get a chance to show how sorry he is on Sunday. I expect St kilda bodies to litter the ETIHAD stadium Sunday afternoon and I expect the Carlton players to bleed in making this happen. Then we will know what they really think.

I suspect we saw what they really think last weekend.

Tomorrow doesn't matter. Pre-season and next year under the new coach does. Then we will see.

Saved me from posting the same.

He's getting old and you have to take that into consideration when judging his performance compared to the benchmark he created in 2011: deserved AA selection, but got dudded by selectors.
Did you see how he was (n't) walking after the game in the change rooms.
He may have lost a yard, but he does give his all because he does give a shit.

I can't accept his off field antics, but do accept it's only human to stuff up every now and them.
No one got killed, raped or stolen from, so he's not the first bloke in the world to...stuff up.
