Yeah I'd take him to.

Felling a bit slutty right now. Ditched Ratts for Mick and then dumped Mick for Paul

MICK MALTHOUSE, AS MUCH AS I LIKE HIM, IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR OUR CLUB.

The only legacy Malthouse will leave at Carlton is a debt. I'm pretty sure Malthouse will end up with a 3 year deal, worth a few million. Will come in and clean out a lot of players, do a mini rebuild, buy some time, maybe have a decent crack in his 3rd year then retire with money and Carlton will be the laughing stock of the comp. With no interview process and the sacking of a capable coach with 11-12 wins, the only way out of this situation with a pass mark is no.17.

I hope Ratts goes to Port. Would love him to excel somewhere else.

I don't think Port would want him after how we played against them.

I'm not bashing Ratten, it's just that you picked a bad club for him to go......considering.

It may be that he gets the role for 2-3 to start with. They are in a pretty poor position, I know some sides have gone from very low to very high quickly but I don't reckon Port are one of them. So it might be they look at a coach with experience of starting low and finishing a somewhere in the eight.

I don't think so though. If I was Port I'd be looking at Eade as a stand alone coach or Eade/Burns given Rockets work at Collingwood.

Well it is the only job available and losing a game on a very wet greasy night doesn't determine if your a good coach or not. Maybe you should be on the Carlton Board with that mindset. The team kicks 20 behinds and gets sacked, kick straight and you probably win by 30-50.

Alot of the media and so called experts are saying port would be mad not to look at Ratts.

It is definitely hot around here.

I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on.

This place used to be half light-hearted...don't know where it went.

No that's just Goltz. Carry on Good Rhys (i.e. not Rhys26).

Occurred to me this morning that 'the big four' are a wee bit shy of the process ...

COLLINGWOOD: Buckley / Malthouse

Essendon*: Hird [admittedly Knights was processed]

RICHMOND: Wallace [as above re their current coach though]

There are a few people on here looking to just have a crack at others to make themselves feel better. Its the way their minds work.

Unfortunately some people on here are like that Rhys87 and we lose a lot of good people because of it. Just ignore them.

Sticks to your guns. Its your opinion and your entitled to it.

And Ratten gets flamed for his media performances? Hardly sounds like he's keen for the job. It's all about Mick.

I hope Malthouses wife has a fit of hysteria, Malthouse clutches his chest and they decide they might travel the world instead.
I hope Sticks sees the light and retires from the board.
I hope we interview several coaches and choose one because they presented the best in the process.

But this is Carlton - there is no heart, no insight, no logic

there is no hope

only Malthouse

I actually thought the same thing yesterday.
Port sacked Primus but he outcoached Ratten the only time we played them this year by employing tactics designed 6 weeks earlier that we didn't learn from.

All Port have said is that they'd consider Ratts with everyone else. They're being polite.
Whenever a coach gets the arse, they're always media favourite to get another job. It doesn;t happen

Is this sort of rubbish we can expect out of Malthouses mouth for the next 3 years? Sheedy - esque that one.

Bit disappointed with that grab. No mention of the Anzacs or the Roman legions.

Cheers Doc

I hope Mick gets the message that we don't want to hear from or of Nanette again, EVER.

Mick, keep your personal life personal, we want you to coach not boor us with your wife's fragilities.
