BV I understand you don't like him and thats fine but anyway you look at it his record is fairly impressive.
Premierships are bloody hard to win and getting harder and he has three.
Has any side he ever coached bottomed out?
You would have to say given the resources available to each coach that Choco is more impressive?
2005 they bottomed out/tanked.
I reckon Chocco is a bloody good coach as well.
He should get a lot of the credit for the development of the GWS youngsters.
Why wouldn't we be pursuing him just as hard (if not harder) than Malthouse?
Or put all the candidates through an interview process?
Comes back to the trash that Sticks is talking

He said the club could not afford a rookie coach because its best players were running out of time.
"If we're going to strike, we need to in the next couple of years."
Why does it have to be in the next couple of years? The best clubs strive to be successful all the time...Geelong/Sydney - they don't limit themselves by setting a window.
Geelong continue drafting youngsters and back themselves in to develop them. Most people thought Geelong's 'window' was shut after GAJ left but then they go and win another flag (on the back of a lot of younger players).
Tony Shaw talks shit most of the time but he was right when he said
"It's going to be based on some ego-driven board members who want to cover their backside by getting someone with a massive name into that club to cover their backside over the next three years."
