First we got excited about Pagan.

Then it was Pratt. Then it was Judd. And we’re still shit…

This Flakey side without a couple of notables just got beaten by the GC lets be enthusiastic but realistic - I thought at the start of the year that we were top 4 material - not really sure about that now because of lack of mental toughness in our group

Cant ever win more than 3 in a row - continually intimidated by Hawthorn irrespective of where they are and where we are on the ladder - gone back to losing interstate -PA and GC prime examples - continually lose to kanga bloody roos on friday night in may/june

Continually lose at etihad

First match against bummers always play like millionaires

Happy to support decision for new coach but these issues wont be remedied overnight and some seem deep seated

I made a "credibility note" a short while ago that a couple of posters, pretty sure Synners was one of them knew a few weeks previous, for a FACT, that a) Ratten was gone and b) Malthouse had the gig.

They're at least half right.

(Synners cops a lot of flak, some of it from me, but I reckon credit where it's due).

um, who didn't know that Ratts was likely to be gone? Not going out on a limb making the call on MM either

But we're not as shit when we got Pagan.

We may be depressed, but with a fit squad, some decent structures and a bit of luck, we should be able to ruffle a few feathers next year (pun intended).

We're talking a few weeks back. IIRC a lot of people felt at the time that the Essendon* game was "make or break" for him.
Unfortunately it looks like things were already broken.

We all have opinions and make guesses ... that's different than claiming that you KNOW something.

ok, well on here at the moment two people are claiming the following:

Person 1. MM will start in two weeks
Person 2. MM will start on Oct 1

I'm sure whoever is wrong will have an excuse. Like me saying:

Carlton will recruit a big name in the off season, I can't say who but my source is the same person that told me we were getting Judd before he even said he was leaving the Eagles.

good chance that I'll be correct, if I'm not it'll be quickly forgotten. Unless it's Friday related.

I heard of Ratts removal at 7:30 Wednesday morning. It happened Tuesday night. There were some porkies told at the presser this morning...but it's all semantics anyway. We've all made guesses in the past, but when two people independent of one another (one employed at the club, the other pretty bloody close to the coach) tell you half way through the season that Ratts 'has lost the majority of the playing group', you start to sit up and take note.

Some people are just narky at others by nature. Based around insecurity and low self esteem.

It's interesting the ones that constantly criticise others because they simply don't like what they write. It becomes personal no matter what is written.

A few of us here knew he was gone and MM was to replace him months ago. Doesn't matter now but people will still look for an excuse to criticise.

As we both know there are several people on here that are at or close to the club. Makes it easier to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Anyway, I'm excited! :smoking:

Did either say it was from a source, they knew for sure, quoted someone, were told from someone inside the club or was it just an opinion? :?

Although a few notables went from "when MM get's here" to "if MM get's the job" for about 4 weeks.

They're back on the "when" wagon now though. So I'll give them that.

Just to change things up a bit, I'm thinking about getting on the Roos bandwagon on Tuesday morning...but that's conditional on there being an available meeting room in the Qantas Club.
