He is there as coach now.

Is Mickey Mouse available ?

There would be a massive increase in memberships if Mickey Mouse coached, esp with
family and kids memberships.

Every Carlton supporting kid would be running around bragging that Mickey Mouse is
coaching Carlton.

What a great idea !!!!

My kids were pretty demoralised on the weekend. Both boys spoke of supporting someone else for the first time ever.
If we got Mickey Mouse, they'd definitely jump back on board.

Thankfully Lil' Miss Wojee II has no concept of winning or losing yet so she was enthusiastically belting out "We are the Navy Blues" all day yesterday

I'm not renewing our memberships regardless. They're not memberships anyway. They're payment for services and the services we've been getting are substandard. If we get some democracy back, clean out the absolute crap that's been "running" the club, and show a distinct improvement, then the following year is a possibility.

Yeah, I know the feeling. My kids don't have a lot of passion for Carlton now

There's a lot of competition for kid's attention now, and a club has to work pretty hard to earn it. A parent can only do so much...

A lot of the kids who used to wear #25 deserted the Club; as kids do.....Eddie is a new hero to many.

Little Kenny went to bed at half-time mighty pissed off!
'We're not going to make the finals, are we Dad?'
He couldn't understand why I kept watching when we were dishing up flower in the first half.

Pagan- "You need a gorilla to play on a gorilla."
Should have read: " you need a gorilla to play like a gorilla." because that's exactly what he did.
Disgraceful by Pagan, bringing a bloke to our club-who he knew was shot- just to let him play 300 games.
Just finished reading Fev's book which further reinforces the fact that Pagan was a terrible coach, outdated, one-dimensional game plan, out-dated training drills and hated by all the older players. Fev loved him because Denis believed in him. Unfortunately no one else believed in Denis.

Hey Denis, " don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining."

Actually, the thing that did it for my daughters was Brad Fisher.

During the dark years, he was a bit of a shining light, and one of them had Brad's number and the other SOV's (a certain Mr and Mrs on this site even arranged for Brad to come into the children's hospital when my daughter was in there for an extended stay). When the club wouldn't play Fish for his 100th, they asked me why, and to be honest I couldn't explain it.

I sold them on the club and what it means, and names on lockers and all that stuff, and when the club couldn't get him off 99 games before delisting him, a light went out for them to be honest. They stopped liking the club.

Can't blame them either. I still think it was a stupid thing to do. The sort of thing that damages the culture.

How can you let that happen ?

My 4yr old son comes home from Kinda one day and starts telling me he likes
Collingwood.

Apparently a couple of the kids there, are Collingwood supporters and persisted telling him
that Carlton are "Shit". (and right now, maybe their right)

So I sat him down and told him to never say that "Collingwood" word in my house
again, because its a swear word and very very naughty to say it.

It took awhile to wear him down, but what did it in the end, was when I told him that
Chris Judd is going to be so upset with you if you like Collingwood.

I have photo of my son with Chris Judd which is now enlarged and hung up in his room !
