I'm not sure what's going on here ... hardly any personal attacks and a couple of really good points.
Anyway ...

If we do make the finals what should we expect? Good question. We do still have some injuries, but we're not that
far outside the norm now, (assuming we don't lose anymore - touch wood). Yeah - I think I'd like to see a quality performance
from Ratts and the team.

Secondly, Ratts' percieved personality and how this impacts on our impressions of him as a coach. For mine not much at all.
It's substance that counts and I'm nowhere near close enough to know about that. For example, Malcolm Blight, (the dual
premiership coach), always seemed "out there" to me from what I percieved from a distance. Seemed to coach alright. I don't
think Ratts in the media matters much at all.

He just doesn't have the Kahuna's to name an alternative...or buy a membership.

Give him his moment in the sun.

No I didn't come out of the woodwork. Even last week I made the point we hadn't beaten any side of significance. Essendon* are 11 th. Rattens results don't justify him keeping the senior coaching job of the Carlton football club

Don't worry Synbad I have never seen you waiver on your thoughts re our club. We are average, and I am are sick of our excuses. The old Carlton did not have time for excuses they just went and did something about it.

Everything's fine. Team's improving. Just injuries. Get a few blokes back and we're on track for No.17.

Ratten's Carlton is the most fragile team I've ever seen in the navy blue. 5 years molding the team. 5 years in the oven. 5 years to put his stamp on the team, and this ladies and gentlemen, is what you get.

Cazzeman you clearly got your answer tonight. You have been wearing rose coloured glasses for 4 years. Take them off and stare into black and white reality. Tonight followed the ratten pattern

A) we don't win when it counts
B) we haven't got a game plan
C) we havent got a plan b
D) we never win more than 3 games in a row
E) we drop games against weak opposition
F) our supporters give too much credence to wins over arch rivals, even when they play badly

Malt house may not be the best option but you do not keep a coach who never wins when it counts

You can go wash your hands now.... its over...!!!

Like your support of what we have become....its an interesting phenomenon... supporting a race to the botttom.

Well done...

Interesting to see that mediocrity is tolerated at such a high pitch.

Another season for Ratts???

I think we all know it's foolish to change your mind on the back of a single loss.

So it'll be fascinating to hear Wallsy and Parko come out this week and back Ratts to the hilt.

Parko probably will, because he's an intensely loyal guy. Wallsy will say nothing I'll bet. And then in three weeks time, do his usual media backflip and tell the world how he felt it was time for a change at Carlton.

Just quietly, I think Roosy won't say much either. But if these guys are serious, they should shout even louder for Ratts tomorrow. And the day after the St Kilda game, win or loss.

But I'm betting, like most in the media, their 'valuable and expert' opinions will last until the wind changes direction.

He's such an unassuming customer and the side is the same. (It) figures, somehow.
