Parkin certainly knows who can coach and what attributes that good coaches have.

He endorses Ratten unequivically.

So who do you think people are going to listen to?

Him??

or YOU

Yeah, they listened to Parko last time and appointed Brittain on his strong recommendation. Not sure if they're hanging off his every word nowadays.

Parko likes recommending people he's mentored. Most people do. Its human nature. But only people a few cards short of a deck actually take those recommendations at face value, as you seem to be suggesting the club does.[/quote]

So your disputing Parkins credentials are you?

Put up your CV and ill make a judgement who to listen to You or him

As for your opinion about who Parkin likes to recommend. Thats all it is, your opinion.

Port and several other clubs over the past 5 years have made judgements about who they listen to and it was Parkin

No, what I'm doing is telling you that only a fool takes a recommendation from someone who has an emotional attachment to the person they're recommending.

And thanks for the offer, but I make a point of not sending my CV to fools. That way, you never find yourself working for one.

baz - don't you know that some important TC posters are better qualified to discuss coaches and even everything football than some premiership coaches like Parkin & Walls.

Bottom line Mark, is that if we lose to St Kilda it again shows Ratts isn't up to coaching against good sides.

There is no excuse for us not winning the next two games, none.

If we make finals I would expect us to win the first also.

Ok. So what if Ratten delivers that? We beat St Kilda and win a final minus our 3 best defenders.

What happens then?

Surrey,

Brett coached Norwood in the Victorian Eastern Football League 2nd Division - not Norwood in South Australia

Well its easy to mix those two up.
Norwood in the SANFL <<<>>>>Norwood a piece of dirt noone outside of Ringwood has ever heard of.....

But yeah Ratts coached the OTHER Norwood Surrey....... the one youve never heard of.... and none of us ever did .. before someone told us Ratts coached them...............2nd division eastern suburbs league or something.....

He cut his teeth there... before he jumped onto the helm of our great club....

Big deal which Norwood. He still coached as an assistant in the AFL and a team on his own. Still more than some other so called well qualified coaches (Hird) / (Buckley) / (Voss)....still equals apprentiship.

I've always admired resilience, tenacity and self belief, but surely SB sometimes it's better to cut your loses and move on?

OR - the club will do the right thing come seasons end. What that is depends on what happens for the rest of 2012 (which no-one knows yet) and what the review outlines. What some people are doing in here against Ratten is purely disappointing against a legend of the club imho. let it be and what will be, will be.
