Actually i didnt rewrite Jack....

Elliott didnt believe in coaches... the only thing he believed in as far as c oaches were concerned was sack the flowers....

Him and Lofts never had any of this limp wristed situations pop up about what to do with a coach who won 1 elim in over 5 years....

Parkin didn't invent chequebook signings. Carlton reinvented them with Barassi.
Quinlan was bandied around by Footscray and there was very little interest as he was seen as very soft.
He changed to full forward at Fitzroy and became a star.
Galt was cheaper and a risk but little cost.
interesting topic given the debate around Cloke at the moment.
