The only players who should rest are those who are at risk if they do play.

Yep, hasn't had a good month or so. Meanwhile ROK has been in great form. They're similar types, and I think it's a perfect opportunity for the MC to demonstrate that they'll give youth a shot if you're doing the right things, and not just because we're decimated by injuries.

2e has had a good attack on the ball and man. His decisions have been a bit dodgy under pressure and he looks to have slowed a yard or two down ... which isn't a surprise if his back is giving him grief.

Hey, it's no knock on 2e. I fully expect him to be in the 22 come rd1 next year. But is there really any such thing as depth if you refuse to use/explore it when certain players aren't 100%?

ˆˆˆ yeah, I know you weren't knocking him. I was kinda agreeing his confidence is down, and it might have somethign to do with him looking slow and a bit of a loss of agility, which might be because his back is playing up?

fwiw, I'd swap out 2e and bring the ROK in for the GC ... I don't think that one move will cost us percentage for the 8.

What happened in 1997. I lived overseas then. Did we start the year as premiership favourites?

So how much to we need to win by if we are to sneak into 8th?

Yes if I were to drop anyone based on form it would be Tuohy. Not knocking him but he's struggled a little lately.

80+ against Gold Coast. North must beat Fremantle.

If that happens, a 1 pt win against the saints should be enough.

Thanks.

Our game is before North/Freo which is annoying.

Played Richmond in the last game of the season, needing to win to play finals. We lost. Could happen against St.Kilda this year.

Anyone got a feeling north will do something stupid and lose to fremantle?

I dont think North will lose to Freo. Freo is struggling really, and North and playing better and better.

One or two changes to the team will be fine and it would probably be a good opportunity to get another game into ROK. Like someone else mentioned, it's unlikely to hurt out %age if only a few players are rested and if they genuinely need it (or are suspended like Robbo) then the team may be all the better for it. St Kilda is the game we need to have a good win in. Not only to ensure we leapfrog Freo on percentage, but to beat them and gain more confidence and momentum into the finals. They pulled out pants down last time we played and spanking them would definitely help the team's confidence among themselves.

Only changes I think should be considered:
1. ROK to come in for a full game for Robbo if suspended
2. Jamison brought in for Duigan/McInnes IF fully fit due to the height of some of the GCS forwards/rucking forwards
3. Bell to be given a full game over 2E since his form is down slightly
4. Resting someone like Yarran who is managing an injury when he is VERY important come finals.

Yep. Weird feeling being more nervous about another game than Carlton's.

Anyone know if Grima & Wells are back?

I remember back in 97(?)...we needed about 5 results to go our way, and us to beat Tigers at Optus. Sure enough, we lose, and all the other matches go our way.

Can't recall a game with more players going off with injuries (both sides) than that day at PP.

True, we would have been screwed the week after.

We need a full strength team going full throttle.
Dont mess with form by resting blokes.
A repeat of Round 2, 2011 thanks!!!

Remember that game very well.
We were heaps in front and just stopped, and of course the Tigers ran ove the top of us. From memory ex Blue Ben Harrison kicked the goal in the dying seconds to put them in front...
