What do you expect from over-rated gutless players who don't play for the team, the fans just the cash.

Give them something to play for and they fall apart, they are soft, soft, soft.

Don't they want to succeed.

Bring on Trade week and piss off a lot of these handbaggers

Nothing has changed, absolutely nothing in 7 years. Our recruiters are the most pathetic in the comp. Can change all the coaching staff you like but you can't polish a turd (the players)

This is one of the most disappointing efforts I have ever seen from Essendon*.

Essendon* "Origami" Bombers. They fold under pressure.

Hey , not being a cock , but in hindsight or whatever , does anyone now think knights was hard done by in his dacoI mean, hird and co are a better face in the box , but knights had a great record against this team, he had a worse list than what we do now and worked what I now see as some magic. Sure we wanted fairy tale because hird said he could fix the rubbish hird was sick of seeing.

So where do we go as a club? How do we recover from such a disappointment (another cock tease of a start to a season) ? This is uncomprehensable. Everyone can blame injuries but if we have a structure of general play how can we not execute with whatwe had ?

Another year, another embarassing smashing by Carlton. We are Richmond and don't anyone fkn tell me otherwise.

Quote:
No excuse for the team, which by the way is SHIT.

However, you cannot tell me the game wasn't spun on its head in the 2nd term, when we were legitamately working hard to score in our forward line. Monfries was ridden in the back, no free. Judd was tackled twice and throws the ball out, no free against. Umps pluck some bullshit free for carlton. Then Melksham gets done for less than the Judd non free in Carlton's forward line. Add a 50m penalty because our players justifiably question the decison. Game over.

This game has reached a point of corruption I never thought imaginable. Those umps knew what they were doing. This game has become a fkn sick joke and Vlad and his legal bitch Anderson are criminals.

Essendon* is really a shit club these days, but the AFL itself is a dirty corrupt whore that needs a clean out.

 :screwy:

Knights was sacked after his first big loss to Carlton. Hird has had 3.

I think Jimmy and Bomber should swap roles for a year or two. BT has the experience. Aslo,Wallis should make way, the defensive skills are hopeless. And the kicking skills......

Better personnel available plus accidentally unearthing McInnes, Casboult and Bell has made a world of difference.

I was wrong, we were ruthless in killing them off.

Need to get more percentage next week against GC and then beat the Saints which will be tough.

They finished the game with only TWO on the bench too

I take it all back - they were outstandingly brave and a monument should be built at the MCG to mark the occassion for all who come to acknowledge their valour.

Keep on punchin Ratts!

Silence the haters for another week.

Your could hear the despair in MM voice as he realised his coaching career may well be over.

Reading the bombers' regrets with Knights makes me think there will ultimately a lot of upside by sticking with Ratts and keep refreshing the assistants (brains). That was a well coached game today. We nullified their strengths and maximised ours. We have a seriously good midfield. In the last it was more like watching cricket enjoying a centurion going on to a double ton. Go blues!

Yes, according to Brett Ratten this morning when asked about Bell, Casboult, McInnes, White:

"Gee, as a Match committee you sit back and wonder if we didn't cop those injuries, at the end of the year how would we be able to make an assessment of some of those boys?"

That's straight from the horse's mouth: no injuries and guys like Bell, Casboult, McInnes and White wind up rotting in the VFL because there's no proper system to rejuvenate the senior team with younger guys. Amateur hour.

Who is to say that if they weren't injured at the start of the year their VFL form wouldn't have demanded a game in the AFL?

Hopefully looked at closely in the review if we want to be better as a club.

Great win, marred only by a lapse in the last quarter and the usual two or three suspects missing goals from the edge of the 10 yard square.

Casboult had a great game but the commentators managed to mention the handcuffs.
Eddie Betts's shorts got a fair go as well.

I think they were bored in the commentary box.

I wasn't watching the TV. Now I have to goto bed, Big day tomorrow doing..... Nothing again.

I dreamt I went to the 'G' today, and we won by 96 points.
It was good.

Around the edges of my dream, were shadowy figures telling me i shouldn't be happy with this.
That it might mean we'd keep a coach they don't want. they were sticking at him with pitchforks..even though we won by so much.

Hard to believe, I know.. but dreams are funny like that.

I agree with the tweets about playing cute at times.
some awful disposals from both teams too.. but overall

a jolly good day out.

Thanks Blueboys. :thanks:

ps. Go Tiges!

He stated fact in an open manner.

Would Casboult have played before Hendo, White before Laidler, anybody ahead of Judd.?

It's good fortune certainly, but hardly evidence of a non-professional MC and coaching staff.

Teams pick their best players. Ask RR, he goes to all the NB games and none of the guy's mentioned had been ripping it up for months on end. They came in because they had to, we had nobody else.

They've done well and it will give us plenty to think about next year.

A good thing yes?
