Questioning an organisation that would seemingly choose a minor player in the field of financial planning to sit on its board of dirctors, over the CEO of one of Australia's largest organisations is an entirely sane and rational thing to do.

The crazy thing would be to not question that kind of decision-making.

But there are plenty of "CEO's of one of Australia's largest organisations" that are not necessarily a good fit for President of CFC.

There are plenty of "CEO's of one of Australia's largest organisations" whose performance as CEO is untested by the rigours of time.

Good luck to the appointee but being appointed by Rudd or Gillard does not make someone an automatic choice for a very different job that is important to me.
