Crameri had his birthday in Round 4, won't happen again

I'm more worried about the following

McBurney

Schmitt

Expect Jetta and Davey to go back to winning free kicks from staging and diving.

Very little chance of that.
This is a statement game.

Expected wet conditions will make it a scrappy affair. That ll almost guarantee a few cheap free kicks or 50 m penalties to the two cheats Davey and Jetta.

All you guys being over confident about this game need to realise we havent been in too crash hot form the past month despite winning 3 games. We just scrapped home against the Dogs and Tigers, and were even or beaten by the Lions in most stats on Saturday. Had they kicked straight early on, we would ve been in deep poo.
The Bummers, on the other hand, despite losing the past two weeks, have run top teams in the Crows and North pretty close.

Got a bad feeling that we ll get done by between 3-5 goals.

Weather here in Adelaide has been horrible. Very wintry. If this is coming over, it will be a scrap tomorrow.

I think there will be less than 2 straight kicks in this game all day long.

Hopefully the heavy track snaps a few of their hamstrings. I'd love to run up a cricket score on the flowers.

I hope that the umpires remember that Leroy Jetta has been found out for cheating (via staging) twice and think very carefully about paying him any free kicks that aren't plainly obvious.

Or preferrably just pay him nothing at all, and watch the rodent crack the shits like he did last week and start giving away 50's.

Essendon* coach James Hird says if Carlton players choose to target Sam Lonergan at the MCG tomorrow, good luck to them.

MIDFIELDER Brent Stanton headlines a list of seven Bombers to sign contract extensions to stay with Essendon*. End of sidebar. The Blues were believed to be fuming after Lonergan's Round 4 tackle on Andrew Carrazzo broke the midfielder's shoulder blade.

The incident later sparked Twitter threats to Lonergan.

"It's up to them whether they want to put fireworks on the table," Hird said.

I desperately want to win this game. For a number of reasons.

I’m hoping we win, I’m hoping we absolutely smash them. Not fully convinced we can get the job done though. Worried about their talls against our backline. Here’s hoping we win the midfield battle, cut their supply and our forwards kick a winning score.

In fact, still don’t know who to tip. I tip with my head and not my heart and I’m currently a close second in my work comp. Fear this game could be the difference.

If I tip us and we lose, it’ll just be more pain. If I tip them and we win, I’ll be rapt. If I tip them and they win, I’ll still be ropeable and I’ll feel I contributed to that by tipping them!

So for god sake Carlton, just win!

I expect to see at least one trademark "kick a goal from a free, chest up to a Carlton player, then hit the ground like a sack of shit at the merest hint of retaliation to milk a second shot on goal" from that cheat Davey.

Going to a wedding tomorrow night. At the same table as a vocal Essendon* supporter.

It’s fair to say I’m hoping like flower we win

Had the exact same thing at the corresponding game last year, however it was a night game so I didn't get to watch, and there were many Scum, not just one.
How glorious it was when the text messages came through that Eddie had kicked his 8th

I am in a similar situation CK.

I am going to a 60th birthday party at Darwins casino.

Will be in a room full of Bomber supporters.

I have two sets of clothes ready to wear - one is Navy blue and white, the other neutral colours.

Hope I get to wear the Navy - it suits me so much better.

From everybody at Bomberblitz...

Could the build up to this game be any more contrasting to the blockbuster build up from round 4? Remember that, when both clubs thought we might be a chance of going deep into september? Geez, it's been a weird year.

Reckon our forwards are really gonna push you guys, but if it rains and your midfield rips us apart, it may not matter.

This game is just purely for bragging rights, and my gosh I hope we 'flower' you guys up.

Here's to a great game on sat arvo at the G!

Don't you just love people who have their wedding during footy matches :banghead:

One of my Mrs friends has hers week 1 of the finals. I've already declined

Hopefully Duigan is in to play as a loose man in front of Hurley. If Ratten starts him forward again I will go apesh*t

Our short defence does worry me. Thornton in the emerg...backup if it's dry?

It's a pretty strong Bombers squad on paper but match fitness will be an issue for Zaka & Ryder.

We are short Laidler Jamo Hendo of being best line up. Should be a good game of footy.

I've gone through a self-imposed ban on this site since the last time we played this bunch of degenerate scum.

It's been a terribly disappointing year in so many respects, and reading a few of the threads on the front page here over the last 24 hours has been tough to take. The club seems to be in quicksand.

Regardless of how any player feels about Ratten, who is picked, who isn't picked etc, you would hope these players understand one thing. As a playing group they were humiliated by Essendon* in Rd 4, and they've been paying for it ever since. They copped a smack in the mouth and didn't have it in them to respond. If they're not walking off the park tomorrow afternoon able to look each other in the eye with the knowledge they haven't left one ounce of effort behind, they've got a lot more problems than who the coach is or any other crap behind the scenes.

If these players want to take a bit of ownership over how they are viewed, tomorrow would be a good place to start. The weather is going to be diabolical, and 90% effort will get found out quickly in those packs. We know Essendon* will be tackling to hurt and we need the same mindset.

Who knows (and some here obviously would like us to believe they do), the coach might already be gone. But these players own their effort and they own their reputations. If they've got any pride among themselves as a group, they won't leave anything behind tomorrow win lose or draw. Doing anything less indicts them as much as anyone else at the club.
