I like it.... tough on ROK but someone has to make way for the great one, and Duigs in on a wet afternoon will add some grunt and a bit of support for the Whiteman.
ROK's time will come.

Id argue ROK can do better than Duigan and is certainly in better form. Not good to bring in a kid for a week, he does as much as asked and then dropped.

You could argue either way if you want.
Bad luck for ROK, coz he looked OK, but we really didn't get a grasp of his form...just looked good.
ROKs a hard body like Duigan, and the selection is made.
Moreso, I'm surprised with the ommission of Watson
I just want a win.

I wonder if ROK will get another chance. For that reason I'd be upset too.
BUT, a win is the only important thing for me atm.
Big picture stuff in this elimination final can take a back seat right now.
I just want a win and I want them hurt after playing this ROCK of a team.

GO BLUES...this game and a win against this team is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO important.

Blues by 6 goals.

And the Parking Inspector community thought they were in the box seat.

No ROK is about balance and having too many kids going into a hard physical game against a hated rival in the wet.

imo, it's nothing to read into and Bell, Cas, white ,mcInnes etc have earned this game

I was at game last week and thought Watto did ok. I hope it has something to do with the weather predictions and not his form.

Yeah but ROK ain't one of those kids. Very solid and hard at the ball and been in the system for three years so loses the kid status. More importantly can kick a goal from outside the arc. Can be our equivalent to Stuart Dew from the Hawks. Very stiff but consistent with Ratt's youth policy

Yes, you'd lke to think so. Had his spot on the CFC web-site this week so you'd hope they're here to watch him play not sit in the stands (or watch VFL).
Anyone seen training this week and seen how Eddie was moving?

The Club is still in the hunt for a finals spot and obviously believe Duigs is a better option in this game against these opponents and the expected weather conditions. Perhaps things might have been different if we were mathematically out of finals contention.

No point getting your knickers in a twist about Oke being dropped. If he doesn't get another chance and then gets cut at the end of the year then shout it from the roof tops but I don't think the MC have got many calls wrong this year.

I like Oke and hope his body stays in good nic because I want to see him playing AFL like he played the year he was drafted. I think he has plenty to offer in 2013.

Regards Cazzesman

He's a 2-gamer. He's a kid. And the ball is gonna be hot. Duigan will handle it, a rookie? Who knows.

This is an elim final for both teams.

Dropping Watson is dangerous. He was the only key sized defender. Would of rathered him play and subbed if the weather conditions didnt suit.

Disagree Cazz. I think they have picked players who have been well underdone fitness wise.

Yeah Watson is stiff. No Jamo, and no other big body to put on Ryder etc... It better be raining hard and the ball on the deck or we are in trouble

I probably wouldn't be so disappointed in ROK getting dropped if he played more than 12 minutes last week.

We were in control of the game at 3/4 time against a pretty ordinary Brisbane at home, and he's still stuck on the bench until just a few minutes left.

The way Ratten/MC brings young players on has me baffled.

Treatment of ROK disgraceful. His debut game last year he comes on as a sub, does ok, dropped the next week. Same in game 2. Don't care if it's wet or not, it's an absurd decision.

He didn't do OK last year, he was very poor. He looked fat and slow.

He did look ok last week because he wasn't fat and slow.

I would go with Club29 on this. Just wait and see what the whole story is, there's every possibility the side will change with the weather forecast.

And you're surprised?

Such conservative and unimaginative list management. I tipped it last week when he was made sub.

But then again, we do have an imitator, not an innovator as coach

Anyway, three more rounds before the golden handshake
