he definitely isnt anti-bell. Just mentioned that bell needs to improve in various areas using generic motherhood statements (fitness etc) rather than actually knowing what he was talking about. Hence he got caught out. He also didnt like the goal celebration

I actually dont mind him as a commentator on occasion as I think he can raise some good points. Just think that often his criticism of the blues is misguided as he just hasnt bothered to look at things in a bit more detail.

That would never happen here. The supporters won't and can't sit and wait. If a draft pick is getting 30 possession by about Rd 6 in the AFL in their 2nd year they are a dud as a far as TC is concerned. It's a sad and uninformed mentality but it is a fairly common take on things.

Geelong has never had to do a complete rebuild they have topped up with youngsters along the way thats easy - But 10 years ago some one came in with complete recking ball and they have been building from the ground up - Thats ok if your the Suns or GWS with a bucket load of early picks but if your doing it with a handful and you sit and wait and they turn out to be rubbish you could be waiting a hell of a long time

I thought SR was fairly good on the Blue Print but one thing confused me.

He stated they work by the theory of "trade for today and draft for tomorrow" which is fine. I have no issue with that at all.

BUT, why then did we draft Rowe and Duigan? I have no issues with either player at all but surely they could of been recruited via rookie draft and their picks could of been used on kids.

Especially when we had nominated rookie positions available.
