Makes this game all the more exciting now. A win for Carlton would confirm that we have the wood over the scum when it counts.

I enjoyed giving them a send off in the last quarter of last years elimination final and it would be even sweeter if i could do it again on Saturday!

I am already pumped for this game and it is only Sunday night!

This is our do or die game for the year. The confidence we would get in rolling the scum would carry us into the finals!

About 41 points we need to win this one by...

I'd personally drop Touhy, give RoK a full game across half back and make one of Bell, Brock, Curnow or Scotland the sub.

Then who would take their small forwards (Davey, Jetta)? I reckon they would be too slippery for ROK.

Our extra day rest should help us immensely.. They are not running out games well, and had to back up after a twilight Sunday game (&a tough game at that!!)

How many times do you think their short-break will come up in th media this week??(my guess is between 20-25 times)

Bombers are on the slippery slope. A string of recent losses (what is it, 5 of the last 6) must be affecting their confidence. They also failed to run out the game well against North tonight, despite having the numeric advantage of fit players. They also have just a 6 day break after the North game which was quite physical.

They are ripe for the picking, but we cant allow ourselves to get monstered and outnumbered at the contest like last time.

Jamo's availability is crucial, fingers crossed, because I think we are vulnerable down back against their talls.

Our forward line with Waite, Walker, Betts (fingers crossed again) and Casbouldt looks dangerous.

Id run Carrazzo on Watson, as beating him to the ball is a better strategy than a totally defensive tag. Given his size, body strength and quick hands he is almost untaggable. The remainder of their midfield is nothing to worry about.

Expecting a blinder from Juddy, who always fires after a break. His motivation will be high for this one. Hocking wont know what hit him this time around.

We will need to be on, but I think we can win.

Oh, and if we can hurt a few of them on the way (we all know who) it will be even sweeter.

We're not exactly flying and they'll get themselves up for us I reckon.

But they struggled to run the game out today, even with North being 2 down early.

Win the arm wrestle early, win in tight and then run them off their feet.

They monstered us in round 4 and really started the rot for us this year. It was a horrible day all round. To say we owe them one would be a massive understatement.

Would love nothing more than to return the favour this week.

Last week everyone was saying that we are officially out of the Finals, and then you had players like Jarrad Waite saying this year is Over but we will aim at a top 4 next year!!

I had a quick look at the Ladder and Geez where did they get that idea from? We are a real chance of finishing 8th if We can topple Essendon* next week an St.Kilda later!!!

If other Results go our way, We will be a Chance!!!!

We need Richmond to do us a favor and beat Freo over there, and Geelong to Topple St.Kilda next week!!!!

in order to make the finals, we'll have to win 4 in a row, which is something we've yet to do under Ratten.

We've beaten 1 team in the eight this year, don't like our chances against a team who will get up for us. It would need an amazing turn around in form as we've been crap for months.

Curnow has been relegated to a tagger as he isn't good enough in other roles. I would prefer a full game for RoK over a player whose last chance to make it is as a tagger. Nothing against Curnow, but he's had a decent chance.

We did beat 'em twice

Their ball use tonight was horrible.

Colyer, Melksham, Baugley to name a few slaughtered it all game.

Bellchambers was excellent and beat Goldstein easily. Big game needed from Kreuze.

Hurley and Crameri the dangers, but Crameri looked underdone and as other have mentioned the 6 day break wont help.

Not sure who they might have to come back, but no Ryder, Stanton, Howlett and Zaharakis is showing up their depth.

Watson is a freak. Keep him to something reasonable, and we should win.

Ellard once again had a great game in the VFL. Has been the ultimate professional since being dropped. Such dedication and work ethic. Will again be overlooked by Ratts. Probably named as an emerg with no chance of playing. Chin up Davey

Hate this stain of a club as much as the next Carlton fan. It's always great to beat them and I've enjoyed over the last couple of seasons how we've been able to do that by 10 goals plus on about three occasions. But am willing to concede this week to them - cannot see how we can match them for height/size in their forward-line. It's all well and good to say that if the midfield plays their role then the ball will not get down to the Bombers forwards, however, we know that even with our gun midfielders they can struggle at times.

Would love to win, but am willing to accept they'll walk over us in this one. Hopefully with all our guys on the sidelines rested, we can reload for 2013 and do the double against them by 10 goals plus both times.

Stanton and Ryder are back. Zaharakis possibly, but doubt he will play other than sub first up.

If the players go in with this attitude they might as well stay home and watch it on TV.
There is no reason we can't win.

22 vs 22. They have injuries, we have injuries. They have Watson, we have Carazzo. We have Judd, they have Hocking. We have Murphy they have.....

Our backs are a bit small if their forwards get a look.
Our forward structure is looking solid for the first time in about four years.

We have incentive. They have incentive.

I think it will be a cracking game. Close and a bit of physical stuff to go with it. Win or lose, we have to turn up and the kids will have played one of those 20 games of experience that Ratts talks about from time to time. I hope Bell plays when Judd comes back. He is doing well and I want him to play every week for the rest of the year. Finals too if we make it.

My changes would be:

In
Judd
Jamo (or otherwise Bower)

Out
Curnow
Tuohy
