If we make it we will win week one regardless of who we play
Then Sticks and Ratts we be forgiven and we can look forward to another 12 months of whinning and moaning fron Synners Keogh and Phsyc

Dont know about you but I cant wait

Regardless of what happens I think it might be advisable for the club to conduct a full review top to bottom
What do you think :);)

I have us playing the eagles

If North thump Essendon* they will be out of the eight, we do well against sides out of the eight in most cases ;-)

This is getting creepy....

Carlton making the eight due due to percentage....

Small war developing into a bigger war....

The Run Home Scenario
North and Geelong are a lock in the 8.
The final spot will come down to Fremantle, Essendon* and Carlton out of them Freo are the favourites however:

For Carlton to make it:

Round 20
Essendon*/North - A North win 80-70

Ess 44, Freo 44, St Kilda 40, Carlton 40

Round 21
Fremantle/Richmond - Either a small Freo win or Richmond win. 90-80
Geelong/St Kilda - A Geelong win. 100-99
Carlton/Essendon* - A Carlton win, bigger the better. 80-70

Freo 48, Ess 44, Carl 44, St Kilda 40

Round 22
Essendon*/Richmond - Either Ess/Rich win 100-90
St Kilda/GWS - Unfortunately a GWS thumping 130-30
GC/Carlton - Need to win this by 50+ must be our %booster game should we have hopes of making it! 50-100
North/Freo - Hopefully North belt Freo 80-60

Ess 48 %110approx. Carl 48 %108approx. Freo 48 %107approx. St Kilda 44 %124approx

Round 23
Freo/Melb - Freo win this game by less than 34 points 90-66
Collingwood/Ess - Coll win 100-80
Carlton/St K - Carlton win 90-80

Carlton finish 8th 52 %108.33
Freo finish 9th 52 %108.29
Essendon* finish 10th 48 %108.49
St K finish 11th 44 %123.05

So the keys are:
Carlton thumping GC, moderate wins over the other two and Freo to stumble or at least not to kill teams. Hopefully the Ross Lyon gameplan means they won't kick big scores!

Go Blues!

I worked it out that as long as we win every match, and Collingwood beat North next week, we will end up eighth regardless of anything else that happens.

But then I realised that I had Melbourne beating Fremantle...

If we win the last 3 games i see us playing West Coast in Perth in week one of the finals.

Need North or Richmond to beat Fremantle though.

Would be handy if Geelong beat St Kilda and Richmond beat Essendon*.

Tigers could do us a really big favour if they win their next 2
But there is too many stars that have to align for us to make it and we have to beat two sides that have already touched us up this year
We will stumble we have been doing it for years now
We are a bit like the pommie soccer team we have mastered the art of losing

Have avoided this thread most of the year. Too many variables does my head in and it changes every week, especially this year.

Will only return IF we win this week...

We needed to have kept the foot on the accelerator against Brisbane. Unfortunately we didn't and lost an opportunity for some %.
Hopefully we won't do this again.

If we Win our Two Crucial Games against Essendon* and St.Kilda, it will all be a Two Team Race for 8th position between us & Fremantle.....

Percentage is not that of a big deal, we can make up for it as we need a big Win against Gold Coast and a Decent 30+ wins against Essendon*.

On the other hand, We need Richmond to do us a big Favor next week and Restrict Freo from registering a big Win. The down sider to this is that Freo do play Melbourne and they can Register a big Win which can then put us out of the Finals regardless....

For us to win the last three games we would have to play a lot better than we did last night but you never know. Here's hoping.
