If we play the same as we did tonight, we'll get smashed.
Tonights game was slow movement and error ridden skillwise. They team looked tired for the most part and won only through a purple patch in the 3rd Qrt.
Heres hoping we win 'cos I hate this mob more than any other but on tonights effort.....i cant see it happening.

THIS!

On tonights effort we'll find it hard to beat these scumbags. They'll rip us apart in the middle!
The way the lions run it through the middle with absolute ease gave me a sickening preview of what the bumbers will do to us next week. I can just see it now. We're still downhill skiers... :hitcomputer:

What if we play like we did in the third but for 2 quarters.?

We'll stem the flow for one quarter. Fingers crossed for the other three!

Judd back at the G is huge. I just hope it doesnt cause Ratten to move Carrots or Gibbs.

Hope OKeefe stays and gets a full game at HB.

Touhy looks to be struggling a bit. Maybe still injured.

Just whatever happens please dont tag. Its just so negative. The best way to stop players is to get the ball before them!!!

PS Back at the G Id like to see Thornton back in but it wont happen. :hitcomputer:

Need to tag Watson, but thats it. We keep JW down and we can win. Don't think we should play ROK in this one. Give him a full game against GC instead. Playing at the G gives a beter chance of quick run by Kade and Yazz. The forward line looks far more potent now and if we can improve the defensive play we can win. I hope North smashes them tomorrow.

Have any of you watched Essendon* over the last month? This will be 50/50.

This.

They are a free running side as we are when things are going well but Jobe is their key. If we can restrict his clearances we will be half way there. They have to worry about Judd, who will be on a mission, Murphy and Bell, who is rapidly becoming a midfield force to be reckoned with. Add McLean, Garlett and Robbo and we should win the clearances. The trick will be to curb their marking up front. Hurley is a star but if we get on top he may have to go back, which will suit us. Crameri has dropped off but is genuinely dangerous. Gumbo is starting to show some form as well. We don't usually go too well against a tall forward line so the mids have a big responsibility.

I'd put Robbo or Walker loose across HF against Fletcher because unless he is manned up he will just do what he does every week and pick off the F50 entries. he has to ba made accountable. Robbo has done it before so they will probably expect it but so what? As long as Fletcher has to respect an opponent he will be less inclined to run away from him to get the easy kicks.

Carazzo should be fired up for this as well. Yes, Juss will get booed at every opportunity but those Blues supporters should do the same for the dog, Lonergan whenever he goes for it. But good, no half measures.

We win with C.Judd BOG.

Yep, should be a ripping game.

Agree with your last line Sombrero.

Curnows role on Black was crucial in the second half. Placing a tag is an important aspects of any teams structure.
Some people are so caught up in bagging the coaches they cant see the forest for the trees.

As far as I'm concerned, we were playing without our full back, our CHB, our second ruckman, our best player and we lost our best forward in the 3rd quarter.
Give me a 6 goal win in those circumstances any time. Remember, we were playing a team that has beaten West Coast this year.
As for Essendon*, if we can get some quality back this week, we're still in the hunt.

We need a bit of you know want in us.

We need to be ruthless, precise and disciplined.

We need to make tackles stick.

Robinson will be lucky if he can get a stray punch in the face under 100 points.....

After a few weeks out just get a kick, leave the argy bargy stuff to another day......

Pick the best team and back ourselves.

Just hurt them. Really drive the tackles with arms pinned. Watson and Stanton to start then move through them from there

I can't recall a game where we've been able to take Watson out of the game. Carrazzo doesnt seem to be an effective tagger on Watson and we'd probably need him elsewhere. How has Bell gone as a defensive mid... right size for Watson. Watson is the 2012 Brownlow winner for mine and a key to their midfield - they have too many outside and only 2 inside, Watson being the only good one. Take Watson out and we're a good show.

I don't think their form is as bad as the recent results suggest. Our foot skills are not as good as theirs so if we allow them space I think they'll kick a winning score against our U/18's defence.

I'm a little old fashioned. I reckon who ever is harder at the ball & the man will win this one.

They blew us off the park last time in the opening 15 minutes with their physicality , this time I get the feeling we're ready, waiting and with Judd off the leash ... we're capable.

It's gonna be good.

If we start games the way we have in the last few weeks, this will be over by quarter time.

We can't afford to bumble our way through half a game like we did last night.

If we are switched on from the start we are a good chance, but we are going to have to win in the middle straight away and use the ball properly and give our forwards every chance, we can't afford to be going into 50 and have the ball rebounded out like it has been as we will get killed going the other way.
