And we're thinking of you and hoping the weather remains fair.

Nah...look it's more about being away...I don't give a rat's what's happening back home when I'm overseas....I've supported Carlton through thick and thin over the years...but I've found it really hard to support the club of late. Carlton will always be my team, and I know more about the history if the club than nearly any other subject, but the days of unwavering and undying support is over. I tried...but can't do it...and it's got next to nothing to do with ladder position in 2012. Anyway...I think I hijacked the thread...shame. on. me...is Aaron Cornelious playing tonight? (back on track)...hey...this Kona Longboard Larger ain't half bad!

Doc ..... More importantly ....... Young "ROK" is playing !!!
I know you like the way he plays.

I watched the Ressies game at Casey "Flat" fields last week, and Rhys went pretty well. I could only really see half of the ground, (coz there are no elevated viewing spots), but, when he appeared on my side of the park he looked pretty good. His kicking seems to be getting back to where it was when he came to the club. Hopefully, things start turning around for him now.

See you at Pre-season training Dear Doctor

BTW, I be there tonight ( breaking eardrums )

Well that's better. :-) Drunk and apologetic is good.

We're just enjoying the little things right now.

Looking ahead though, I shudder to think what happens when change comes, and it's not the change some were hoping for, or expecting. I think there will always be stuff to be concerned about. That's fine, but hey..we still have a lot of kids busting a gut out there for us, and yes, I am going to continue supporting them This year...and well, as long as I can.
So there.
xx
have a safe and lovely time Doc.

check in for ROC reports too. :-)

Everyone supports the club in different ways, in their own way. Some go week in week out and treat it that way too. Others aren't as concerned about the now but are looking to the future.

Can't we just accept that rather than trying to rate who the better supporter is?

Not an option Brad...quite clearly I am the worst supporter.

Go Lions! Seriously...wtf are you all still doing here? !@#$%& 2012 off...put the boys under the knife and in cotton wool and move along. Pre-season training is right around the corner!

You're kidding arent you?
I dont give a !@#$%& what the situation. While we're still a chance to make the 8, I'll be hoping for a win even day of the week.

Ah...still clinging to delusional hope that this team can win the Grand Final?? Surely not. Or just wanting to 'make finals' so you can say to yourselves and others 'well, at least we made finals? Either way....I get your point of view ...undying, unwavering support of the team and all. But do you get mine? Where a win can be viewed as a loss...big picture stuff there...but 2012, imo, has been gone off and on field for quite some time. ok...it's gone 6am...I'm driving up to the North Shore for a surf. 87 degrees out. That can only be a good thing.

Yeah, we're lucky to have a couple of "big picture" guys around to set us straight, arent we?

FWIW, I'm aware that 2012 has slipped away. Plus I'm happy to send the guys in for operations if they need it.
But that doesnt mean i'll be openly cheering for the opposition. Theres something seriously not right when it gets to that stage.
So thanks for the assesments on why i'm supporting the Blues Doc but not for the first time, you're off the mark. It has nothing to do with unwavering support or justification.
I would have thought my posts over previous years would have clearly indicated I'm not a blind follower.

Its about hoping the 22 out on the field tonight can have a crack and continue their development. Whichever 22 it is.
If that means they're in front at the siren, great. If not, so be it but either way, i'll never be cheering the opposition on for a win.
You've sucked in too much sea water if thats your go.

btw, I will be going tonight (unless I convince myself between now and then not too). First game in quite a while for me. Our draw has been horrendous in terms of me making games.

I couldnt give a fat rats clacker who's playing for the opposition Doc, as long as they kick less goals than us, thats all that matters.
