Where do we ply Davies?

Touhy should have a spell too IMO. His impact has been poor for a couple of months now

Scotland has been great again this season and just seems tired....but geez Davies is an enigma....can't see where he fits in and especially as a sub????? Would have been far better playing Lucas or a Dale if a sub was all we were after....

I thought Davies was ok, but agree he should not be the sub.

Will probably get down to the game to give a Japanese exchange student a taste of Aussie Rules.
God I hope it's a good game and that people bother showing up given that our season is basically done.

Really? Why? So maybe we can finish the season in 9th or 10th place, instead of 11th or wherever?

Touhy is our future, and if we want to be genuinely challenging for a flag in the next few years, we need to get as many games as possible into anyone who shows the kind of promise that Zac does.

This season is dead and buried.

Should win but will be the battle of the ball butcherers - shocking turnovers by our mob on sunday yet brisbane are worse - lets hope we dont still try to bomb the ball in on saturday night but have some semblance of system going forward

Lack of poise on sunday and system cost us dearly - senior players must get round to the young ones and seek to instill confidence

Johnno brown should have a field day without jamison playing or hendo

If we dont win this one coach will be in more trouble

Have we ever in the time since the inception of etihad learned to play that ground - continually lose there and it costs us big time

In the reserves until his confidence builds and away from the BS that he gets on this site.

You would think that Watson would come in for jamo - with potentially watson taking on brown - good learning experience some would say.

I suppose white would play as the second tall defender on merrett.

You would assume davies is going to be replaced as he was the sub, and was pretty awful - it may be okeefe that replaces him, as okeefe can play back flank if needed. Thornton maybe included instead if we are concerned about any lack of height in defence.

I would keep casboult in - took some good marks towwards the end, but just had an off klicking day - he has improved his kicking immensely since coming to carlton - noone was complaining about his kicking last week?

I think the Davies criticism is warranted. 50% disposal efficiency with so few touches of the footy means you're a liability.

Moreso, he doesn't tackle. In the Richmond game whoever he played on had a field day. eg. Martin in the first quarter.

The Sydney sub role was a cock up by selection (possibly the fact he was selected at all), but even still to play a quarter and a bit of footy as a defender when the team is getting pumped, and not apply a tackle and have four kicks two of which ended up in Swans hands... it's not good enough. He's not the reason Carlton were pantsed all day long, however.

I don't see the silver lining there.

Not so sure - he looked a bit tired throughout the game. I do like what he brings to the table (although his turning circle is on par with the Queen Mary).

Maybe it's a chance to give Mitchell a go if he is ready and give Levi a rest.

Any chance of Mitchell making a debut? Really need to get some senior games into him...

We need to get some consistancy into the playing group so in keeping with that theme I reccomend a minimum of 4 changes this week

Your first comment explains your last. A team that butchers the ball as much as we do will never beat the better teams at Etihad.

Maybe Waite can play in defence for us this week?

With Walks and Robbo coming back in, we should be ok up forward.

Any word on Jammo yet?

I just think it might benefit Zach more if he goes back to NB and perhaps plays at that level for a couple of weeks, get some more touches than he is getting at the moment in the seniors and play with less pressure on him. He is definitely out of form and I don’t believe that he should be allowed to stay in the seniors if his performances do not warrant it

Nothing against Zach, I am a big fan. Just needs to rediscover some form

I'd like to see a few things:

Keep the kids in minus Davies and Lucas.

Be bold, play fast, play the corridor, play on every opportunity.

Run all day long, tackle everything that moves

Not one tag. Back ourselves

Start Gibbs at the centre bounce with Carrots & Murph.

He was let down by his team mates big time yesterday, he tried to do the right thing run and carry the ball from the half back line - when he looked up for his team mates who should have been creating options for him they were not there, he had to double back and got caught.

He wont learn anything back in the N Blues - he is too good for that level.

What he does need is team mates that will run and spread for him.
