I think Levi will need to have a break. I'm just not sure he'll be able to keep up with the hectic pace the Swans work at, particularly at the back.

I would bring in Warnock and have Kruez and Waite provide the forward targets .

Leave Levi at FF or CHF. If Waite is ready, he goes to FF or CHF. That leaves Kreuzer rucking with Levi and the two of them rotating through FF/CHF.

Warnock will get a game next year.

No more rucks playing long periids of time in the KP. It was found not to work that well so let's not go back to it. Play Waite and Thornton across HF with Casboult at FF with some ruck relief.

If Waite comes in isn't the logical option that Thornton goes?

I have a feeling that the Blues could pinch this one from the swans... but i'm not supremely confident.

Without Thornton we would have lost this game 1/5 of our goals due to him and what a tackle.

I am more confident in his ability to lead, to mark and kick goals than any of or other forwards besides Eddie.

Waite very up and down, who knows where walker will be playing.

Richmond dominated in the Ruck when they played against them, Mumford is still a "test" so fingers crossed.

Swans are 1st in tackles, we will really need cool heads to succeed.

Win this and we are likely to make the eight as Bummers fall out.

Your hobby horse.
Hampson did work. He got injured.
Now we have others available so let them have a go.

According to a very reliable BF poster, Waite, White and Simmo in. T-bird out.

Just read that too and was going to post the same. Did say that Thornton is out for Waite and White and Simpson will be named ( Sunday game and a squad will be named).

why not leave T Bird in, and get some continuity?

he is solid, and I think we treat him like crap.

Good question, he clearly is on the outer with the powers that be, for mine no way he should get the chop this week but wouldn't be surprised if the MC thought otherwise.

7 kicks 4 marks 1 tackle will be the reason he gets drop
Simply not enough output for a lead a forward
Forget the 2 goals one was a gift from Yarran and bad marking by the tiges and silly Rance gifted him the othet

I've refreshed the page a few times and it's true....T-Bird is getting some respect on TC!

Next thing we'll be sticking up for Brock McLean...

THAT WOULD BE FANTASTIC NEWS IF TRUE

oops lower case

Just Waite's return is enough to make me cry after reading the website article Game 154.
I really hope he's got his body right.
No secret he's always been a favourite of mine because of what he delivers on the footy field.
If he's fairdinkum about getting his body right before playing...I hope he gets 50ish in a row. I hope I'm not dreamin.

White....good honest reliable footballer. Plays taller than he is. Good, nah, GREAT to see him back in the seniors.
This is going to be good. Hard and tough for the Swans,,,Pity Robbo's missing.

SIMMO...nuff said.

Surprised Robbo's out, not so much Tex and Warnock.

I've got TBird in my best 22 this week. Expected Watson to return TBH.
Bad luck to the TBird.

I wouldn't be surprised if Thornton was dropped, though I wouldn't be happy with it.

He did some really good things last week and simply doesn't deserve to be dropped. He offers us more than White in terms of versatility and is more likely to perform than Waite who despite playing a ripper VFL game last week, hasn't played an AFL game since round 7.

It would be great to see Simpson return but I just can't see 4 weeks being enough.

Should be a ripper of a match if the boys come out with intensity. Unfortunately I just can't see us over coming a very well drilled Swans outfit. Swans by 32.

Got to pull you up on a couple of things.

Waite is very consistent when he is on the park, and his best is a lot better than T-bird's.

Also, regardless of who is better, White is the more versatile player. He can legitimately play in defense.

Thornton did some really good things against the Tigs, but he only got 7 touches (and that wonderful tap) against a pretty average defense. I don't think his work rate is good enough.

I'd rather TBird dropped than Levi.

Depends if Casboult is 100% or not..
If he's fine, then maybe look at dropping Frazer Dale, and make Davies the sub, or White?

..plenty of players didn't rack up the stats, 2 goals and a sublime assist for a tall fwd that's just come back into the senior team isn't a poor effort [even if it's not great].. ..and seriously, Thornton is under-rated.. ..he's a damn good defender, the only real knock on him as a defensive player was his habit of slowing down the play and that chip kick sideways of backwards.. ..which he seems to have corrected.. ..you'd be seriously hard pressed to find a better 3rd tall defensive option [if yer playing 3 talls down back]..
