Back home and just watched the replay.

I see what you all mean by the commentary. Disgracefully biased effort. Should have come with a disclaimer: proudly brought to you by the Richmond football club.

As exciting as it was, the coverage doesn't do the last few minutes justice. At the ground, the anxiety and drama was unbelievable. The euphoria at the final siren is something that I will never forget.

Loved seeing the passion of the boys after the game. Hopefully this will feed some belief and build some further confidence in to the group. With some returning stars, let's see what we can do late in the season...

Just watched Wookies (Thks) highlights.

We would not have won this game without Thornton.

Had some key plays that had real impact on the outcome.

Good on him.

Disagree on the game being over umpired. Lots of frees paid early, but I'd rather see those frees for holding at clearances paid early and let the players adjust and stop doing it. Tidies the game up and allows the ball players a free run at it.

Lucky you! You had the dulcet tones of the best commentator in the business to listen to.....

Has probably been mentioned before but I haven't read all the previous posts in this thread, but Brock McLean was superb, he is definately a keeper along with AJ and Thornton who have also been much maligned. The boys were playing for their coach and although I have been a critic (still hate the Duigan forward move) obviously the group want him and if they want to keep him should bring that endeavor every week.

Great to see the new lads get a chance and this has been the silver lining from our injury ravaged season. Bell is a cracker, Levi has plenty of upside and McInnes looks like a young McKay  Maybe the cupboard isn't as bare as we think......my glass is half full.

Being at a home match, seemingly outnumbered by opposition supporters who could smell blood in the water; watching the win at the ground and singing the song at the top of my lungs has really been the highlight of this season for me. Let's hope the highlights continue.

I get the distinct impression that the panelists often don't watch the games they are allocated to review and just look at some edited highlights and Supercoach points.

They also read off a run sheet.

Nathan Brown is one of the most useless panellists to be employed.

He is also ridiculously and maliciously biased against Carlton & always sticks up for other teams who take cheap shots at our players.

Must have developed that bitterness with Darcy at the dogs.

I hardly ever listen to Nathan "I look like Bert Newton" Brown anyway. Both in the fact that I couldn't care enough what he has to say, and that the Sunday Footy Show is a crock of shit. I used to have to put up with listening to him on Triple M, but I pulled the pin on that too as I also couldn't give a rat's arse what Lyon, Brayshaw, and the rest of them have as inside jokes, and what they do outside of footy that they take up air time with.....

This is the one thing C70 that bothers me about Carlton more than anything else. Why are these kids having to wait for injuries to be given a chance when the team's losing?

Nice one Wookie. I've watched that last couple of minutes several times now :smoking:.

Good work by Yazz, Bell and Army. BT says 'well done Morris' - well, it was either OOTF or deliberate so.......... :screwy: Great work from Eddie to be right on his hammer.

Beautiful spoil from McInns in the last 30 seconds or so.

Bell was injured for the first 10 or so weeks of the season.
Casboult was also injured. He played 1 VFL game and 1 VFL reserves game for the year, prior to making his debut.
McInnes wasn't up to it until half way through the year.
Watson wasn't exactly killing it in the VFL before he got a game either.

The euphoria of the players when the siren went, was something to behold.

Players that are not normally demonstrative were absolutely wrapped and you could see it in their faces and their arms and the jumping up and down.

I remember hearing Jamo say after the NM loss that the players spent too long enjoying & dwelling on the Collingwood victory. Hope a lesson was learnt from that...
