Warnock was massively found out the last time we played at the G. He was pretty much useless once the ball left the centre square or a stoppage. Maric would have had a field day running him all over a wet ground. If Kruezer is right he is the far better option.

Lucas is not out of contract and no-one seems to know the tenure of Davies' signing last year.

Well there's that cleared up. Watson & duigan may be out of contract but they're safe.

Let's put it this way: We are looking at our list in a very hard manner and don't be surprised to be surprised.
There may well be some definite movement but there are also variables attached at this point in time and the reasons for this must be obvious.
We can speculate for the sake of it, but if the powers at be haven't finalized their work, then we just don't know.

The great thing about all this is that it makes for really interesting viewing.

We won't get smashed, we'll possibly even win but regardless, we get to see the continuing improvement in the depth of our list through giving players a go on their merits.

I'd love to say Lucas is only being played to improve his currency but when I think of it realistically, I'd doubt it. At some stage he needs to be played into genuine seniors form and now is the best time.

Um... naming players to play games of senior football doesn't automatically mean we are improving our depth. That comes from getting the recruiting right and having players perform to the required level.
