..don't want Cloke, not at his cost.. ..also, i think both Cloke and Henda play a similar old-school CHF role naturally..

I don't want Cloke either, too much money and he's got some baggage.

But still I think Hendo would be a better foil for a Cloke type.

If Hendo ended up with the second big backman he'd kick arse with his mobility.

Pardon my interruption to your mother's meeting, but I would like to point out that from a bystander's position, you all seem full of shit. I get that you all have different opinions but the levels you go to try forcing them on someone else is laughable.*

Do yourselves a favour, limit your post count to 3 per day or something.

Back on track - I hope Henderson gets himself right for next season too. He is clearly a key player for the club. Another positive is that we may get to see plenty more of McInness and some other youngsters too.

*To avoid names, if you think this applies to you, it probably does.

Yes.

I enjoyed the Doggies game far more than I have enjoyed the start of a game all year because of the young bloods.

I saw Big Levi almost clunk a monster pack mark in a pre-season game 3 years ago at Leederville oval in Perth and just hoped he'd get a run one day. You can't judge much by 3 minutes of footy and he looked lost for the rest of the game, but that "almost" mark would have a beauty.

Tommy Bell was great and hopefully Frayze will come on.

So, if we assume that injuries will be treated and not managed for the rest of the year we may see Mitchell, McCarthy and the return of Booty.

But if we could just pick the best possible side for the Bombers game please, old heads, battle scarred and angry. No blooding for that game.

So, just out of interest. At what point is the condition currently? Is it as bad as Cooney's this year, last year, 3 years ago, his Brownlow year?

Those questions can be answered without giving up the source? Yes?

No idea. I just know he has chronic hip and knee issues which were diagnosed at under 18 level. Unfortunate but true.

Seriously?

I remember the stuff about the hip Issue which was "taken care of as a precaution. But we took a ruckman with chronically bad knees too? At number 1?

Of course ... Ratten is the cause of everything .... Rumour has it he caused injuries to Murphy and Carrots. He also had a big say in the Judd suspension.

Bad luck Lachie.

..lookit, i've got no contacts so i don't shizen regarding any 'chronic' issues the Krooz may or may not have with his knee, knees, hip, acne etc etc etc.. .... ..what i do know [cos i have eyes], is that he hasn't looked right for the majority of the season.. ..this is a viewpoint shared by plenty of here, he hasn't looked right for a long time now, so much so that some are even questioning if he's any good anymore, or if he ever would.. .and crappy josh fraser comparisons are getting made etc etc..

..plenty of players have looked 'gone', and have come back with smart management.. ..Ball was cooked for example.. ..plenty of players weren't supposed to ever get over their 'issues' Judd and Selwood were both passed over initially cos of the thought they couldnt stand up to afl seasons.. ..and yes, plenty of players out there do succumb to their problems, like Cooney is doing now, or say Whits before him.. ..supposedly Scully won't ever play a full season etc etc..

..but with proper management, we should be able to get Krooz right.. ..with two other rucks that can by their own ability play 1st ruck, we have no excuse playing Krooz injured.. ..what's done is done, many of us think we're a shitty club at times,, but moving fwd he needs to be rested, for as long as it takes.. ..and then if there's flare-ups, rested again.. ..we've got Hammer and Knockers re-signed so we can nurse Krooz..

.. ..cos i tell ya what, after we re-signed Krooz on half [if not even less] of what GWS offered him [huge huge money longterm], if we ruin him, shorten his career and earning potential and then discard him,, i'll be Furious..!!..

Theyre y thoughts exactly Kahuna.

I hate seeing him out there struggling.

Kreuzer is not an average ruckman.... Maric is!!!

What Maric can do... Kreuzer can do a million times over..... and somehow he cant get around the ground....he cant jump.. he has no confidence and yet we play him.....

Hendo's been great his season when fit but hasn't looked 100% for a while. Season's over anyway so hopefully this means he'll be fit and ready for a full pre season. I reckon he'll go up another level next year.

Agreed. I would love to see hendo put some upper body strength on - being out with a groin and therefore not being able to run to much should allow him to keep some muscle on. Needs to get a nick riewoldt physique, which would allow him to hold down CHF and maintain strength and position in the marking contests etc.

Casboult took about 6-7 of those pack busting marks in the VFL Finals and kicked goals too, 5 in one final. You mightn't have seen that in WA. It was really impressive. Losing him very early in the Preliminary final against Port really hurt our chances. Only a matter of time before that was carried over to AFL level.

Do you think it is wise for Henderson's future to be in our forward line?

The reason I ask is because going back a few years our defence was clearly our weak point. It was horrible to watch us leak goals like a sieve. Nowadays we have several really good defenders with some decent experience, Hendo being one of them.

On the other side of the park, there are a number of forwards on our list, some who are yet to even get a decent run like Casboult and Mitchell. Add to that of course, Waite. Considering the potential for these guys when combined with proven goal kickers of the medium and small size variety we have, it may be wiser to leave Henderson down back where he is playing good footy and contributing well.

I think Hendo should only be playing up forward if all our good quality backmen (Jamison, Laidler, Duigan, Tuohy, Yarran and even the youngsters in Watson and McInnes) are fit and playing. If some are missing, Hendo is more important to us in the backline when the aforementioned forwards (or even Rowe and a resting ruckman) are the tall targets up forward.
