Is there any possibility of SOS returning to Carlton in some capacity if there is significant change at the club?

Is he a gun football operator? I know he was at St kilda and the AFL tapped him for the GWS list management role, but is it fair to say that he would be a great asset to CFC if he were to return? My only insight into his capacity post-football was his horrible performance as special comments man.

Sticks did very well on both sides of the salary cap fence.

He received a fortune and when he was in admin and the club came out stinking .. he didnt.. he came out smelling of roses.. while everybody else got the blame...including Silvagni..

I havent seen this, but SOS has a big ego so I am not surprised he carries grudges for a long time. I do know his kids bleed navy blue and I saw an interview some time ago where Jo said that Jack knows the exact date he qualifies for father son. So I have no doubt that if junior is good enough he will end up at Carlton.

My underlying feeling after just watching this was sadness that a true club great doesn't appear to have any love for the club.

Evidently this would appear to be for a range of reasons however clearly the salary cap scandal is a major player.

Disagree here. He tried to push for the controversial bits, but SOS wasnt buying into it. He sees no point in rehashing the salary cap stuff because the club has finally got to a decent place

Ex players fall out with their clubs, for a variety of reasons. Bartlett / Richmond as an example. By the time Stephen AND Jo's boys are eligable, and if they want to play the game, there will no doubt be a new regime in power at Carlton. Don't see a problem there.

SoS agreed to get paid under the table. In the end we got found out and he didn't get his money. I'd imagine he is pissed off about that.

His kids are always in those Father Son Academy photos.

There would be a number of reasons he would prefer them to do something else. AFL footy does not look like much of an existance these days.
