I had no issue with you at all and still don't.

I just think you could add so much to this forum but tend to hide behind pictures and snide comments.

oh and i was pleasantly surprised with the win on the weekend , though it was a bit of a nothing win - in the grand scheme it was ugly and meant very little - though i was impressed with mcinnes, levi and bell.

FWIW i wouldnt have taken nic nat with pick 1 either - very overrated

Grro surely you jest. There hasn't been a sensible debate on TC for along time because the barrows are well out in front of every post that is started. TC is the definition of Crop Circles and has been since about Round 5. The Club will make a decision one way or the other but it won't make one lick of difference unless the anti Ratts brigade get their own way. If they don't the Crop Circles will just multiply. We, you, I and they know it.

Cazz. Your closer to the club than anyone else here and at the moment your showing to be a perfect example of why things are going so poorly.

Instead of trying to belittle people with cheap childish insinuations and pictures how about addressing the issues?

Psycho, you throw the ''childish'' tag around fairly freely, then accuse cimm of cheap shots.
Weak as piss champion, weak as piss.

Gee Gro. Some logically argument. you won't last long.

In regards to the game the positives were definitely see Bell, Casboult, McInnes, Watson, Dale to play or continue to play under senior conditions.

The reality is we can't make finals so play these guys regardless and in the positions that suit. When they get experience play them elsewhere.

Casboult. Key forward assisting in ruck.

McInness. Third tall defender who I believe could develop into an Andrew Mackie type.

Watson. CHB not forward.

Dale. Got a taste and when he's gets another go will have time on wing/hf. Reality is he needs another pre season.

I also liked Garlett further up the ground and Gibbs into midfield.

The key is now to persist with this and add a few more.

IMO its not a clear cut answer but I have my philosophy on what I believe is the correct policy.

I hope that explains my position.

I think that a hard and fast rule on when you recruit for "need" versus "best available " can never be cut and dry however a lot of people chose to make it so when looking in the past for examples.

If we'd have had the opportunity to take Nic Nat but chosen Jack Watts (considering he was thought of as a KPP and we needed them then and now) do you think you wouldn't be on here complaining about that.?

That's your model and if it doesn't allow for exceptional circumstances, that's what can happen.

I think there are sound grounds to consider Kreuz was an exceptional circumstance at the time.

Plus , HE AIN'T DEAD YET.

Its not a criticism of Kruezer at all although I am concerned he has limited improvement in his game.

There are always different circumstances and everything needs to be evaluated and adjusted but most successful organisations have a basic philosophy they start with.

An example I can see is that I would of taken Patton last year at No.1. This kid is special and has lots of room for improvement.

We beat a near full strenght team will 5 young players and some injury and form players.
Can't see what all the crying about the lack of depth comes from.
Three deputants on the weekend, seemed all right.
Watson and McIness a handfull of games, holding up.
Bootsma looks likely and Lucas and with some upside.
Mitchell and Rowe coming from strong pre-seasons into illness and injury and promising.
Bower, Russell and Thornton regular senior players out of form and favour.
Curnow, McLean and Collins just getting a regular gig.
Murphy, Yarren and Jamison injured or coming off longer term injuries.
Kreuzer and Henderso up and down all year with injury
Juddy suspended
Waite, Warnock, Murphy, Carrazzo, Laidler, Hampson, Duigan missing big chuncks of the year.

Did I miss anyone?

Yes we haven't done that great at some games but either have
West Coast
Collingwood
Hawthorn
or Geelong.

Can't always blame coaching, development and the board.

Do what other forums do, have one big thread on Ratten, the Board, problems etc and keep it in there. That way everyone can discuss it all they like.

In threads like this only mention Ratts in context with the game. That way this type of thread doesn't get hijacked. One wouldn't know anything about the game itself from last Saturday if you read this thread. It's ridiculous.

Love my Blues. Want them to be better. Furious after North game. Watched McInnes run 400's for 45 minutes one day at pre-season training by himself, just for a chance to get a game. Think coach has been a slow learner. Enjoyed it when we played great footy to beat Pies in round 3. Gutted that this season is effectively over.
But, for a few hours after half time on Saturday night I was happier because we did some things better. Not every thread on this forum should be as big a grind as this thread has been. People here need to exhibit some of the same discipline, class and excellence that they are demanding from the club. Otherwise the gene pool of this forum will become unsustainably small.
