Casboult, two massive pack marks, one grab, when was the last time we had a key forward do that hey? Exciting.

Absolutely. Can't believe they are blaming the umps though. Thought it was pretty evenly umpired except the two shockers against us - the Russell 50m penalty and Thornton's deliberate point. Almost a third shocker until the video review game to the rescue.

I am so proud of my club tonight. That is the best way to describe that win.
Will be interesting to see how Casboult goes at ff next week.
Bell & Robbo in the same team would make for some great viewing! Hopefully he keeps that attack on the ball.
Love Ratts but seriously Watto is not a forward and Bower is a good backman. Please let them be. I thought they both did better back there.
McInnes.....I like. I think with him and Bootsma we have something.
Doggies have some serious issues though.

Not a polished performance but that was the grunt that we've been missing for some time.

My highlights

McInness is a keeper, just does the right thing everytime.
Betts - matchwinner
Garlett - back i to what we expect from him.
Levi - Spalding like effort
Bell - drifted out of the game but if we name Robbo and Bell in the same side we'll be on the right track. Potentially (one of) the big bodied mid we are looking for.
Dale - timing.is.everything.
TBird - Was always my whipping boy but he has earned my respect. Contributed when asked again and again.

Getting something from our first gamers was a great thing.

Great call on the Spalding comparison. If Levi can get his fitness up to that level, he'll be more than handy. Contested marking has been sadly lacking from our game and if he can be a target for us and crash some packs it will have profound implications for our game plan.

Great effort as many said with 10 or so of our starting 22 out. No ruckmen, or KPF's. not to mention our Skip.

Can't wait to see, Duigs, Bell, Robbo and Levi all in the same team, they'll be crunching blokes everywhere. and with Brock finding some form and putting his head over the ball, some teams will be pooping their pants and worried out of putting their head over the ball or backing into packs.

long way to go - get our stars back (Juddy, Simmo, Walks, Waite,,,? Kreuz, Robbo) we already look much better.

One of the positives of having so many injuries is the young players getting a game. Loved what i saw of Bell and Casboult was great all night. A good win, not much of a game but under the circumstances a job well done.

I was actually more interested in the kids than the final result and it was pleasing.

If you are forced to get games into kids with talent and they perform your depth suddenly increases many fold. As you say, the one positive of many injuries.

I hope he keeps it up, but I am really liking some of the things Watson is doing. He's as slow as a wet week at times, but he has some smarts and knows how to work the body around the contest and has some composure about him. If he could possibly pick up a yard or two and some agility he will play a lot of footy for our club

Watson's body work has improved significantly since earlier in the year.

KK it is simply a matter of some more game time, finding his confidence and being allowed to mature. Tonight his games total matched the number on his back. He turned 20 just 5 days ago. He will improve if everyone can just wait.

I don't reckon the umpiring was that awful bar the 50m penalty on the siren - it seemed reasonably even and apart from a few howlers they were letting things go a bit (Is it true one of the maggots who did our game last week got sent back to the VFL this week?).

I didn't realise it was a 7 goal turnaround either - I reckon that's pretty good for an inexperienced side even against ordinary opposition.

It was nice to see Jeffy getting back into the game, let's hope he keeps it up for the rest of the season. Nice debuts from Bell and Casboult too, was happy with both of them. McInnes was also good.

Has Frazer Dale gotten bigger? I had thought he was a bit of a twig but he looks quite solid.

Joseph wasn't that bad, don't know what was up with Armfield he just had a bit of a 'mare. Russell was pretty disappointing.

Gutsy win against a very, very poor team.

Still makes me wonder... all those primo draft picks we gave up for ruckmen, and yet again we see one team's ruck dominance worth squat.

Poor Jamo looks wrecked, physically. Murph looked to be protecting his shoulder too. Still some hurt boys out there. Rapt that Judd got a holiday... forced the club to put a kid in the middle, and actually give responsibility to kids, rather than 25 minutes as a sub.

Great to see some debutants - we've been very lax at bringing them through for a while now.

We still won't make the 8, but very pleasing to see three young blokes get their first game and a win.. and most importantly, each of them contributing to the result.

Dogs. Wow, they've got problems. Haven't watched a heap of them this year, didn't know they were that bad.

Count yourself very fortunate you don't have to watch that hideous gameplan and appalling skill execution every week. Apparently the bloke that got us to 3 prelims was the only change required

Dahlhaus is the only reason to go to the footy this season.

Really impressed with Bell. Whilst the goal he kicked was running into the open goal, it was was where he came from to get it in the first place. I watched him pressure the dogs players in trying to force the error, and he kept chasing and chasing and found himself with the ball in goal square and the rest is history.

Whilst he was beaten, Levi competed well. That's all one can ask for, in a first gamer. A couple of occassions he mis-timed his jumps for marks, but did clunk a few at critic moments in that last qtr. Would like to see him more deep in the fwd line next week with Warnock back.

Watto is growing in statue and confidence. I seriously doubted he would make it based on what I'd seen in a year and a half, and credit to him for keeping his spot as he's earnt it up to now. He has a while to go, and has improvement left in him.

Garlett found his touch again tonight which was great to see.

Thought Carrazzo's job on Boyd was pivotal, as was Murphy's continued comeback from a serious shoulder injury.

Be interested what the clubs' stance on the VFL affiliate team will be in light of the tiges announcement to go alone in 2014. Would love for us to do likewise. The more clubs that do it, the better the development of ALL players on AFL lists.

Well done ... again.

Terrible game...the first half was unbelievably soft.

Standouts for me were Levi's 2 marks inthe final qtr

Scotland's consistency. Mopped up everything early & kept the first half defecit blowing out even further

Collins' game. Made a couple of awareness errors but that can be worked on. Carrazzo had the same thing early in his career. Collins has a good footy brain, knows where to run, nice disposal. Keeper.

Anyway, we're back. Premiership favourites.

Been out tonight and haven't seen a thing. Just score updates throughout the night.

Very pleasantly surprised with the win. Seriously thought we had no chance, even against the doggies.

Look forward to watching a replay and eating my words

Bell reminds me of the Tasmanian Devil from the old Warner Bros cartoons. Saw everything that moved as an invitation to smash through it. Doesn't look the sharpest tool in the shed but he will be a cult hero once he gets off his training wheels. Casboult also promising, especially for the fact that he's not particularly big. Just kinda looks like a 6-foot Aaron Joseph.

I LOVE watching Chris Yarran grab the ball & run. It's like the rest of the world slips into Matrix time and he's the only thing moving at normal speed.

Eddie was very much the unsung hero tonight, worked his arse off and only really got his rewards in the last, but they were two very special goals...
