He really looks like he has made significant improvement since his early games. Hope he keeps it up!

Glad to read that Kreuzer is not injured, if true.
We need a bona fide ruckman albeit shortish without his leap working for him.

Waite is playing this week, and the line from MC is in the 2's, and now its 50-50.
It wont hurt Waite to play HF or FF rotating on the bench.
As long as they don't leave on the ground too long and becomes fatigued.

Totally encourage playing Casboult if he's not injured, but they will need to rotate him off for the same reason as Waite: underdone.

Put Duigan back and Henderson forward. We know Hendo can play KP either end.
That decision is next years decision.
Play McInnes and Collins instead of TBird and Bower if they are on the chopping board come end of season.
The selections will tell the story.
TBird wasn't too happy having Lucas selected ahead of him...I hope he doesn't miss because of that.
Right this minute, I'd have TBird ahead of Jamo, but Jamo has been cleared to play and Ratts will pick him.

Kreuzer makes a huge difference to the balance of the list.

Why would you tag Boyd? He will get it 35 times and turn it over 10+. He'll get around 10 clearances but they will be Nick Maxwell "throw it onto the boot without looking" style clearances. I'd love to see Boyd play a sacrificial negating game every week like the job he did on Judd last year - we would be a far more effective team if we did.

Griffen is the only player anybody bothers to tag in our team. Even Dahlhaus is getting close attention now, but Boyd hardly ever does because the opposition love seeing the ball in his hands and not Griffen's.

I know Carlton is struggling at the moment, but we are GWS standard right now. We have no skill, we are one-paced, we move the ball at a snail's pace, we have no tall forwards of note, we have no small forwards to pressure the opposition defensive rebounders, we have a game plan that makes it impossible for us to score and easy for the opposition to score against us. In short, we are garbage. I couldn't care less about the result this weekend or for the rest of the year. I'm just looking forward to the day when Smorgon retires, Garlick is replaced and Fantasia has his arse kicked out of the kennel for good. Only then will we start to improve on and off the field.

Dont worry Sedat, we will play you back into form. Maybe a draw?

If Carlton win we'll trade coaches if we lose status quo.

That should be incentive enough for a ding dong battle.

Another Bell reference!

I'd have him. Your problem is the forward line Sedat, not Boyd. Give me a "throw it on the boot" midfielder any day if he wins the majority of clearances. A quality forward will back himself in to win 50% of the forward entries, whether they're clean or not.

Theres a lot to be said for winning the contested ball and hacking it forward. For starters, when the ball is going your way, its not going the oppositions way.

Really hope that McInnes, Watson and Collins keep getting played for the rest of the season. Not sure how they fit into the MC's idea of things. Well, I know that Collins doesn't seem to as he is first dropped or subbed. I trust that McInnes keeps going and not going to be rested after a strenuous run of 2 games. (Besides - I want to bring him in my Dreamteam). :yikes:

For the love of all that is Navy, please don't bring Waite straight back in. Play him in the twos. They said they would last week, but now, all of a sudden, they might not. As mentioned by another poster, he doesn't start well from long breaks. And if the Kreuze is injured - stop playing him. Rest him and play Levi, with Thornton as backup or 3rd man up.

Also hope that Hendo goes forward and stays there. Even if that means Waite goes back to CHB, or on the Wing ala Richo. He has been great down back, but looks good up forward and could be what we need up there.

Walker and Judd are forced outs. Joseph out for me too, even if he is fit to play. Hopefully Touhy is back, and another kid or fat arse gets a go. Russell might even get a go with the injuries we have. If we do - back him and give him a month and see if he can get back his form or confidence or whatever he used to have.

I reckon MM would love having Collins in his team

We've been winning the contested ball and the clearances almost every week this season. You know what happens? It goes straight back over our heads with interest becaue every half-decent coach has already cottoned onto the McCartney one-trick blueprint. We've had a number of games this season at Etihad where we've struggled to get to 50 points, let alone 100. Against St Kilda we were 2.8.20 approaching time-on of the last qtr. We kicked 6.8.44 the whole game last week. Our forward line is poo but the are not being given any favours by the awful, slow, haphazard delivery into our forward 50.

We are already planting dynamite at the base of the damn wall - I guarantee by half time on Saturday Night you will need to buy an extra Football Record to keep a track of your goalkickers.

So refreshing to read a rant involving different names.

Dont count yourself out of this Sedat. Think of how crap you are, then think about how your last win was against Port, and then think about how Port's last win was against us by 9 goals.....

If Liam Jones plays he is certain to regain his accuracy kicking for goal

and really what the hell else have we got
