Hard to argue it was a terrible act and min 3 weeks but was expecting 4.

Time to rest all injuried players and get ready for 2013.

I'm happy with four weeks, with Juddy's record I didn't expect any less (nor does he deserve any less). As plenty have pointed out the season's over, the rest will do him good.

There are players out there who appear to be protected species for whatever reason, so what; let's just worry about Carlton. Now is the time for everyone from the President down to the boot studder to rally, to unite and show what a great club we are. Whether or not we win another game this year is all but immaterial, it's all about next year now.

Let's remember Geelong in '06, very similar to us this season, 2013 can be our year. I don't really care whether Ratts coaches us next year or not, it's about so much more than just the coach.

Not sure what you wanted him to do.

Donated his time and argued a great case tonight. Basically put reckless v intentional in the spotlight and forced the AFL/Tribunal to argue Judd was lying about his intention.

The penalty was decided some time over the weekend and it was irrelevant what we presented last night. Tribunal hearing was for the media.

I'll be pissed off with the club if we don't appeal this.

exactly TrueBlue. The club didn't even know the charge before getting there. Pretty hard to mount a case.
The penalty was already approved by the AFL commission and the media. Last night was just all an act to make the public feel that actually did something.

There will be no point appealing it.

Why would you appeal it??

The situation rests fair and square on Juddys lap.

Youre going to get into hair splitting with the AFL over an example???

Just more stupidity!!!!.. especially where were at

I've avoided the radio & papers the last couple of days, ever since hearing Mark Fine calling for 8 weeks on Sunday, then reading here about all the Johns from Mill Park calling in...seriously don't know how you guys have stomached it.

I did tune in tonight for a bit though, was pleasantly surprised to hear the call for calm from Rohan Connolly. Was excellent, well done Rohan.

Glad you tuned in last night. Would have hated for you to miss Andrew from Mill Park...

They might not have known the charge ... but they knew the act was not savoury and nothing to do with footy.

Dont do the undisciplined things and youre not in that situation

Ratts used to tak about "Judd and Co"

Now he has to open his mind to realise its just" co"... and the world doesnt revolve around "The champ".. now if only he understood tht earlier.. he might be a better coach today

You really don't want to miss an opportunity, do you?

Everything must be turned and twisted to relate back to the coach.

This is about the process and the the AFL accusing Judd of intentionally injuring an opponant and then lying about his intention.

Do you really think the tribunal proceedings last night had any bearing at all on the result? Don't spin and go off track, answer that question.

Youre looking for fairness in a competition that doesnt have a fixture where every team plays each other twice????

Some people are just .........................

Its not that kind of world Brad.....

He chickenwinged him... they didnt like it and stamped it out...

if he wasnt such an idiot he wouldnt be there last night.

That is all!!!

This was the question.

The blank bit was your answer.

They love a good chicken wing the AFL as proven by other players getting away with it.

So it couldn't be about the chicken wing and whether it was a bad look or malicious or intentional.

Players are doing but only one is made an example of.

But that's okay because we are a rabble and deserve it - isn't that right sailor man?

AFL is a big show and the AFL manipulate the ups and downs and all the drama.

We really shouldn't invest too much of our energy into it as most of the stuff just happens as randomly as a Sherrin bounce.

Don't really have an issue with the penalty. Take the "Judd Factor" and emotion outs of it and the AFL had to make an example of this. I can't happen again. It was ugly.

Time to move on and see how the side goes without him. Other players need to step up.

Yep, cant help wonder if it was any one else but Judd who laid the chicken wing tackle, would the AFL
have handled it differently ?

So was Juddy's 4 week suspension given for the offence or because it was Chris Judd ?????

It's the quote button that flowers everything up Duke - would love to use and did use it but it proved pointless when people were quoting said foe!

Neil Mitchell says Judd showed zero remorse

http://www.3aw.com.au/blogs/3aw-footbal ... 2295b.html

Did he miss the bit where he apologised to Adams after the game, and during the hearing?

Stupid old fool.

Amazing that here we are 5 years on before we got Judd, and I'm guessing the only reason we're not the bottom side is because of the 2 expansion teams.

I can't see us beating anyone.

He needs Carlton people to ring in, it's good for ratings.

I heard that Nauty - can you imagine had it been a 'Dee' that was on trial? I'm sure we'd have a radio telethon to raise money for the poor chap to compensate for his tarnished reputation.

Mitchell's a total flog.
