Oh....now the flowers on AFL 360 are saying a 7 week penalty would be too harsh on poor Juddy. FLOWER OFF.

That would put it up with Hall's hit on Staker, where he near killed him.

WTF now they want the 30% loading applied too when they said it wouldn't apply earlier?

Think Montagna only got 2.

Very much trial by media and media hysteria. The question I asked yesterday was whether the same hysteria would follow if Judd had done it to say Barry Hall. I don't think so.

Wilson: there is no base sanction for the offence.Appealing to tribunal jury members as past players who would understand the on-field pressures players are under

The first sycophantic f$#kwit in the media who pipes up and says this is harsh - who isn't Grant Thomas - can go and suck a rooster. Treatment has been fking disgraceful in the media from the word go.

I'm fine with him getting weeks, to attack the media treatment is not to excuse the offence. It is to say that he was never, ever going to get a fair hearing.

That said the clips of our defence are mind bogglingly awful.

This reminds me of the Diesel case. The AFL loves to rape Carlton. They are afraid of Pies and especially Bummers, but Carlton....... There is still so much residual hatred.

I was thinking the same thing missnaut.
The AFL have totally lost the plot.

This talk of 550pts + 30% = 7 weeks is a bit over the top I think. Esp in light of Daniel Jackson only being fined in 2009 for his wing tackle.

Wilson: appropriate base penalty 2-3 games, take into account 30% loading BUT also fact Judd did not have info about particulars of AFL charge until 4pm today

Club should appeal and be quite angry about this

Particularly given the number of dog acts against carlton players in recent times and the relative penalties
- hawks - stand on hand, uncited
- pies - break someone's jaw and isn't referred to tribunal. 3 weeks
- north game - THREE players cited.

Galvanise the playing group - us against them/take no prisoners mentality. Get the team into finals and then unleash an angry Judd that is niggle free post suspension.

Wilson: guilty plea was a measure of Judd's remorse, which should set off 30% loading. Approp penalty 2-3

Tribunal chairman directing jury members: the penalty is in your discretion. Question what is the appropriate penalty having regard all the circumstances of the case?
