Not defending Judd at all, but the media witch hunt has reached epic proportions, quite ridiculous really. Robinson and Stevens are having a pissing contest about it on Twitter. Robbo even wrote today that Judd “has a dark side”. He clearly does, but at least he’s not a journo.

I hope Carlton's got hold of that audio grab.

When Barassi was playing; his shoulder would often pop out during a game; and the trainer would push it back in again; and Barassi would keep playing as if nothing happened.

It doesn't take that much to dislocate a shoulder; especially if the joint is dicey to start with.

Was anyone chickenwinginging him at the time???

What would happen if someone did that to Juddy??/... not in the play... but while he was on the ground... someone searched for Juddys arm and put a hold on it which potentially injured his shoulders???

Ive never heard such a bunch of cry babies....

what he did was ridiculous on the footy field....

He should have to take it like a man... and we dont have to defend someone from the sidelines for being an idiot.

Yeah ... I reckon we do. That's what supporting a team is all about.

At the moment the anti-Judd, anti-Carlton hysteria is going to see him get a penalty that is way over the top for the crime he commited. You can concede that you don't approve of what he did and still argue the case for a considered judgement and reasonable penalty.

+1

The Melbourne Age this morning had a photo of him sitting on the bench during the game with a kind-of grimace on the his face. Catching his breath I would imagine. They captioned it with "What have I done? Chris Judd watches from the bench". Prejudicial? Just a tad perhaps? Bloody disgusting I say. Witch hunt of the highest order. Whatever I think about chicken wings or whatever, I'll always go into bat for anyone facing that sort of hysteria. It's obscene.

Neil Mitchell on 3AW says he should get "the rest of the year - 6 weeks - off ya go"

Apart from being a totally mind blowingly stupid comment, it's factually incorrect.

7 weeks left ya flog!!!

I'll stick with the three I suggested on Friday night.

Given the hysteria, I really hope he gets off. Won’t happen, but oh the uproar would be sweet.

Then goes on to collect 3 Brownlow votes for that game to deliver him his 3rd medal :smoking: .

I have a sinking feeling they will give him 5-6 based on the trial by media going on. The uproar if he gets less will carry on for the rest of the year.

I think 2 weeks and a "this is a warning to players, if you do this sort of thing in future you will get 4" would be enough.

It doesn't really matter what he gets - the season was [REDACTED] long before this.

I agree but I do not think what he did is worth that many weeks.

The references that judd did a chicken wing tackle sh1t me. Judd didn't tackle at all.
All Judd did was grab his arm.

..i think 2 weeks is fair, prior loading would see it jump to 3 weeks.. ..actually, since it's at tribunal and they don't use the points system.. ..what happens with that prior loading..?.. ..will it still remain..?..

If he can't get a reduction for a guilty plea, I don't see how he could get more for previous record.

2 games should do it.

Mark Fraser, (former scum & filth player, very ordinary umpire, son of an Essendon* player who played with Ron Evans) has him hung already by saying he has brought the game into disrepute

I reckon CJ is gawn for the rest of the season

Apparently he will be pleading guilty tonight.

I'd like to see what he said about Monga and his hit on Sewell (??) a few years back. I guess that was all just good tough footy?

Exactly, after the tackle was complete. Which makes it all the more WTF!

We/he/the club need to suck up the media hype and whatever the tribunal hands down.

There is no possible explanation for his actions.

Did anyone else see Cyril's tackle on Warnock highlighted by On the couch last night. Not quite as graphic as Judd on Adams, but equally as deliberate.
