Don't like the incident much and don't need to defend him but I've never seen a player cop the consistency of hard tags that Judd does (except against Collingwood) and get so little protection from the umpires.

And not bitch and moan about it.

Maybe it comes out elsewhere.

He got rubbed out for 3 weeks for the eye contact Sedat so he hasn't GOT AWAY with anything.

Libba spent half his career being a filthy little prick.

Hardly similar at all and using him as a comparison doesn't add to the credibility of you're post.

A better comparison might be Greg Williams who the umps and tribunal finally stitched up for brushing an umpire. Got 8 weeks for that and no doubt the sawdust filled skulls of the
AFL will be searching for similar to appease the clowns who think he's deserves the same treatment as Libba. Both Brownlow medalists and all.

Before he was forced to modify his game just to survive, Libba was a ball-winning cleanskin who was never reported once in 150+ games, but that wasn't the purpose of my comparison. What Libba did on a few occasions was push the boundaries with some questionable acts on the field. He got away with it for a while and then was nailed hard. Judd is the only other player I know who has done something similar. I genuinely don't know what to make of Judd's actions on Friday night, or in recent years. He doesn't so much as raise a finger at the opposition 99 times out of 100 but then something completely random and unsavoury happens one in a blue moon.

Juddy .... tomorrow once you know your fate (good or bad) don't give the media the satisfaction of a comment. They've all hung you out to dry.

Sedat, you seem like a nice guy but FMD Libba scratched , pinched and pushed those boundaries EVERY GAME and they were deliberate!!!!

Every game the filthy little prick decided BEFORE he went out what dodgy tactics he would employ.

And don't give me the old ' he had to change his game to survive" crap. He chose his methods, just like Baker and Denham when he could have used methods like Ling and Sewell.

Libba CHOSE to become the piece of excrement he's remembered as , no body made him.

Everyone takes great joy in watching us fall on our faces. We are doing a fine good job of it too.

Bloody hurts but we have only ourselves to blame.

Judd will love it if they ban arm holding; 50 possies and 20 clearances per game coming up baby!

I agree that it is not a good look and he should get 1-2 (I thought Hunt should get 1-2 as well mind you) but EIGHT weeks? Are ppl serious?!
How many games is Adams going to miss? One? He's already got a bung shoulder, and its not like Judd managed to actually break it.

Why wasn't the same vitriol directed at Josh "the squib" Hunt when he stepped on Edward's foot?

Surely we need to stamp that sort of thing out of the game...don't want the kiddies doing it.

Because Josh Hunt didn't mean it, he didn't even know he was doing it not once but twice!

On the subject of people up... did Goodes get anything for this? He constantly drops the knees into opponents and has perennially gotten off. Precedent?

So we'd expect Jamison to get similar. Good behavior record?

..he's done 3 dodgey things on field.. ..i'm open to believe they weren't malicious.. ..the eye gouge vs Brown, if i remember correctly he was under a pack trying to get them off him.. ..unsavoury but a little understandable.. ..the pressure point vs richa, richa had grigg in a headlock/chokehold and judd came in to try and get rischa to relent.. ..very bad look, and silly option to take but again his intent was understandable, execution poor.. ....the arm wrench so to speak, again understandable what his intent was,, execution of intent again very poor..

..i don't include the elbow to pav, it was clumsy but near every player on occassion throws an elbow back.. ..it's a clumsy move and being clumsy it will at times land where it shouldn't.. ..sometimes this is deliberate, but more often than not just frustrated clumsiness.. ..possibly a week, prior loading may push it out to 2 weeks.. ..not worthy of anything more..

Twice, once in pre-season and again in the season proper.

Cannot see any reason other than blind club loyalty that anyone can find a defence for what Judd did. It's not a hanging offence, but it was pretty bloody weak and he deserves the scrutiny he is getting. Best we can hope for is 1 week, but the media hype may push it to 2 or 3.

Whatever he gets, I'm not sure we can complain.

The fact he was by far and away our best player on the weekend makes it all the more indefensible. Why do a stupid thing like that when it will cost the team so dearly? What chance the Dogs next week?

I just saw Juddy on TV walking into PP; and to a gaggle of reporters he said ''we'll have to see what happens today''

It is going to be up to the interpretation of the MRP and/or Tribunal (if it gets sent up) as to if the rough conduct is "unreasonable in the circumstances".

Lot of room to manouvre and ambiguity in the definition lets see "how independent" the MRP/Tribunal process is hey Adrian "Chester" Anderson.
